Tap a button and open a world. The app identifies birds by song and allows you to learn more snd compare songs with recordings. Easy to use and works great.
There are plenty of free bird identification apps out there. I got this specifically for the song ID. I have several feeders in my back yard and I decided to look at the birds that were coming to my feeder and test the app. It was off! Far off! In fact it didn’t even come close to identifying the right birds. I tried it over and over again and it was almost never correct in its identification.
App easy to learn. Bird identified easily first try! Call matches perfectly.
I have used a couple of other bird song/call identification apps in the past. I just got this one and the very first time I used it, it correctly identified my bird as one of two possibilities with the higher percentage given my bird. If, like me, you live in a wooded area with lots of tree coverage for ‘hiding places’ preventing you from getting a visual, then get this app if you’re able to record it’s call. You’ll know soon enough what your bird is and hopefully (as I’m hoping), you’ll get that rare sighting. You’ve got to know it’s there first, though and this should help.
I’ve just installed and used this app once, but of all the myriad of bird I’d apps I’ve tried, this is the only one that correctly identified a bird song that had me stumped. I was amazed! Seems easy to navigate and I like the way it stores ID’s. Looking forward to using more!
This thing is GARBAGE it doesn’t even show birds that look even CLOSE to what I showed it don’t get it it’s a waste of storage
We’re using this app for our homeschool nature studies. The photo ID has helped us to identify crows, hermit thrushes, and mountain jays (among others). Plus, we appreciate seeing a list of nearby birds BEFORE we venture outside... this makes it easier to identify birds that are too far away for our camera phone to capture well. Seeing pictures AND day/time spotted (as well as distance from our house) has been incredibly helpful. Thanks for the useful app!
I moved to the Deep South from the northeast and have heard a lot of new bird songs I didn’t know. This app is wonderful in helping solve that issue.
Unless there is absolutely no background noise the app is not very useful. No matter what the call sounded like I repeatedly got the same answers.
We often sit on our patio here in Oregon and try to identify birds we see visiting our water feature and bird feeders. We’ve identified several our first time using your app! Great!!!
