Update: Customer service reached out to me and gave me a full refund. It seems they were experiencing unusually high volumes. I’m changing my review from 1 to 4 stars. I think the goal and content was good. The meal planning could use some work. Be sure to read the site carefully before you purchase. It just wasn’t the right product for me. I could see it could work well for others. I signed up for this through my work who provided us a discount. The cost was supposed to be $20 for semi annual subscription. When I checked out from the app it did not show a total and I was charged $39.99 for six month subscription +$29.99 for a sign up offer. I did not get this email confirmation until after I looked at the app. One of the main features I wanted to use was the meal planning I like the idea of having my meals planned and a shopping list do you have everything laid out for me. It was completely useless the shopping list did not provide quantities so you would have to go through every recipe to find out how much of everything you needed add it all up to go shopping. This is way too time-consuming for some thing I’m paying for. I contacted customer service and they were very responsive but claimed they couldn’t find my account which is understandable I use my work email for the discount and my personal email so I can put it on my personal phone. Once I provided a copy of my invoice which was obviously substantially more than I was expecting to pay and the email address my account was under, radio silence. I emailed customer service for more times with no response. I don’t want this app I don’t need this app I was misled lead and misscharged I didn’t use it and expecte a refund.
This company is a scam. They will give you the run around and won’t reimburse you any money just keep charging week after week. STAY AWAY!!!
After trying out a few paid subscriptions, I realized I was paying 25 bucks a month and the app isn’t that good. Always trying to hit you up for more $$. No way to cancel tour subscription that I could find so I emailed the 3x. No reply. Bogus. I canceled with my PayPal.
Beware that any button you click (even what may look like for clarification purpose) will probably start a reoccurring charge for 9.99. It should not be this difficult to stop the charges. I wish I would have read more of the “critical reviews” and perhaps I now would not have all of these monthly charges... no app is worth these charges!!
I purchased this app and after a couple days it Locked me out asking to pay again, I emailed customer service they took literally MONTHS to reply like I had even forgotten about it. They told me they’d give me a life time membership I agreed. A month later they completely locked me out, just deleted the app Do not trust.
This app continued to charge me and is still charging me even after I cancelled my subscription. It isn’t honest about things! Just go to the gym!
Be careful! I signed up for their plan which wasn’t clear that it’s weekly subscription. I unfortunately had to pay for 4 weeks without even using the app. I can’t talk about how the app is since I haven’t used it.
The app works just fine. However the recipes are badly written: the ingredients are not given in the order they are used per standard recipes, you are only given quantities in metric measurements, and the instructions are not in standard English or in logical order. Also the shopping list for the suggested meals is extremely long with no quantities given so that you could know how much of each item to buy — if you can even find them at all. Too many obscure and exotic ingredients to stock in a home pantry. I prefer a variety of simple, wholesome ingredients to their complex ingredients. Not to mention that the exercise routines don’t finish the explanation for an exercise until the time for it has nearly expired and they don’t give a definite audio clue for the end of one exercise before going on to the next. I’ve used much better exercise videos than these.
I am very upset because you guys keep charging my card and I unsubscribed 2 months ago!!
The app itself is alright, but I've been charged two different fee amounts 3 times... I paid the initial amount of $6.99 for like a trial week or something. I cancelled before the week was over so it wouldn't automatically keep deducting from my account. I have now been charged 6.99 two more times as well as 9.99 and have had to shut down my debit card and wait like two weeks for a new one... Not really happy or excited about that.
