SkyCandy is great for photographers, or anyone at all that enjoys a beautiful sunset! There are no annoying ads and it's completely free, but you can unlock some extra tools and features for a very low-cost subscription fee to help support us and keep the app running. A full list of features can be found below: ► Sunrise + Sunset Forecast Using your local weather data, we can determine if the next sunrise or sunset at your location will be vivid and colorful, or drab and dreary. With the premium subscription, you can also see forecasts for up to 5 days, for any location. ► Sun Direction Tool Drop a pin anywhere on the map to know exactly which direction the Sun will be at any time, any date, and any location. Great for photographers that are scouting a photo shoot location and want to know what direction the Sun will be in when they are taking photos. ► Daylight Phases and Times Get the exact times for Sunrise, Sunset, Golden Hour, Blue Hour, and more! ► Multiple Locations* With the premium subscription, you can save near infinite amounts of custom locations for the forecast, and get a five day forecast! The premium subscription includes a free 7 day trial, and is billed on a monthly or annual basis unless you cancel the subscription. Yesterday the free version predicted 78% for a beautiful sunrise, and the sky was wonderful for 35-40 minutes. Well done.
Waste of money
The app freezes all the time- i have to turn my phone off everyday to get the app to work- The predictions are terrible/ not accurate at all
Essentially Useless
I purchased this app and an annual subscription with plans to photograph a series of sunsets with my drone. It has been wrong almost 100% of the time - predicting great sunsets on dull (or even overcast rainy!) days and giving low percentage chances on stunning days. I have like 10 months left on my yearly subscription but I’m uninstalling this thing now. Don’t get swindled.

Not bad for a free app, I just can’t figure out how to see TOMORROWS prediction too, which would be helpful for planning.
May be IOS 15.6.1 issue?
When this app works it’s fantastic, but there seems to be a glitch with loading about half the time. I wonder if this is related to the IOS I’m using? Hope a fix can be made. Thank you.
Not useful for its intended purpose.
I’ve been using this app for a few months now. It’s basically 100% wrong to the point that if it says there’s a low chance for a good sunrise or sunset, that means it will actually be spectacular and I should go to the mountains immediately. I have much better luck going outside and checking for altostratus clouds. If they are there, sunrise/sunset should be good. The app is so bad at projecting good sunrise/sunsets that I’ve actually started keeping side by side comparisons of the low probably and then the actual spectacular sky.

Ya. Just disappointed. It gatekeeps good sunrises and sunsets 🙄

It's a cool concept and I even paid for Premium. Push notifications and alerts have never worked. The sunset forecast (the only reason to have this app) hasn't worked at all for a week. I reached out to Support more than a month ago and never received a response.
