I can’t thank TIU enough for studio classes that not only guide workouts, but teach me love, confidence, appreciation, intention, and just so much more than I could ever write. I have been doing the daily moves for a long time, but the studio workouts have made such a difference in my life. I started truly focusing on having a healthy mind and heart as well as increasing strength, motivation, and balance. As a college student, sometimes that’s hard because everyone around you is beautiful and toned with what seems like minimal effort, so fixating on looks can be easy. Wanting to be beautiful for others and like others is easy. This entire community reminds me that fitness is not about comparing yourself to others. Your heart is beautiful, your mind is beautiful, and your attitude is beautiful. Being truly healthy is not about outward appearances... but the outward appearances do come with tiu 😉. Love you girls!! This community is so beautiful, and it really helps me feel beautiful in and out and every day.
Love the TIU Team and the app is great for at home workouts. I enjoy the workout of the day, daily moves (great for gyms), and on demand! My only wish is that you could search for on demand workouts by equipment needed :-) Overall a great buy!
I love the TIU girls, Katrina & Karena. I have been following them for a while and they are so motivating. I especially love that their recommendations are healthy and sustainable and not fad diets. I had been following their plan for free but recently took the plunge and purchased the nutrition plan and I love it. I occasionally do the free workouts on the app and like most have said, it’s sometimes really slow or might all of a sudden shut down/freeze when trying to use it. Especially when I travel out of the US. I don’t know whether it’s coincidental that it acts up when I travel. So I’d give the app 4 and half instead of 5 stars, for the free version as I am yet to subscribe to the paid version. That’s been the main reason I haven’t purchased membership on the app, though I know there have been some updates so hopefully it will continue to get better over time. Maybe I’ll start with a monthly subscription and update to annual if it works for me. One thing that would definitely motivate me to purchase a subscription is if there was a way for nutrition plan members to access it from the app i.e. be able to access the different meals and recipes and create a plan for the week. That way one could see the workouts and meals (perhaps) macros too in one place. I know a lot goes into developing the app, but if that were possible I would definitely give it 5 stars ⭐️. I have been looking for years for a workout regiment that fits my day to day life and I have FINALLY found it! I have been apart of the TIU Community for about a year now and I can say this app has changed how I few fitness and strength. The classes are so fun and engaging and I somehow feel like I know the trainers personally! Not to mention there are TONS of awesome classes to choose from, all with different lengths. I found myself without an excuses, and a desire to want to keep showing up everyday with these ladies! Love love love Tone It Up!
I love this app and community, but every now and then the volume doesn’t work and no matter how much I restart my phone or delete and redownload the app it doesn’t fix. I can hear my music etc. But the videos are silent.
Updating my previous review! I absolutely love the workouts the only downfall was issues with Apple mirroring on my Apple TV. The latest update must have fixed the issue because I can now mirror onto my TV with no issues! I’m so happy I don’t have to do the workouts from my iPad or iPhone. It’s only been about a week since I’ve had no issues so I’m hoping it lasts! Previous review: I absolutely love the workouts however I have issues with mirroring the workouts to my Apple TV from my iPhone. The workouts may start off ok, but then they will lag, I’ll lose audio, and/ or the screen will just turn completely white. If I turn off the mirroring, I’m kicked out of the class and it restarts. I can be 6 minutes into a class and have to start over. I reached out to customer service and they told me to make sure my WiFi connection was strong and everything was up to date. Everything is fine on my end with internet and updates so unfortunately it’s an issue with the app. Thankfully I have a month to month subscription and can cancel. My phone is way to small to do these workouts from :/
I’ve only been using the app for a short amount of time, but I would LOVE the ability to set a queue of classes (both for immediate use and for a weekly set). It’s frustrating to do a workout and then have to stop, go find the next one I want, and then start again. Or having the Series as an option on the app so I don’t have to go to the website, find the list, then go find it on the app.
These workouts are awesome. I love that I do not have to think about what my workout will be for the day. It’s so easy to use and the workouts are quick but effective. I also like that I can go back and find my favorites! One thing I would love to see is being able to see the next weeks workouts. I don’t like that you cannot see them until Sunday comes. I’m a planner and want to know what’s ahead.
But I can’t say that I do just yet. I love TIU. I’ve been doing their workouts for years via YouTube. I’ve probably done almost all of them. Here’s what I love about the app: so much variety with workouts. I’m a huge kettlebell fan and I love that kettlebell workouts are available. I have a baby so I’m usually working out on demand rather than live. The thing that is so super frustrating is that it never streams well. I can’t do the workouts just on my phone. It would be nearly impossible for me to maintain form that way. I have to turn off my WiFi to mirror through my Apple TV and it’s still sort of glitchy. Well today while I FINALLY got my 8 month old son to nap I was super excited to do a kettlebell workout. I saw an update was done on the app and I just updated my iOS too so I figured things would be smooth. Tried via WiFi. No luck. It was worse than usual. Disconnected the WiFi. Still way too glitchy to follow along with to get through a workout. It kept stopping every few seconds. Plus, I realized now that I had to turn my ringer on to get sound which is minor but still annoying. I’ve tried other fitness apps that are not perfect, but give me no trouble streaming via Apple TV and I’d love for this one to be that way. It’s an hour later now and my son is waking up and I still have not done my workout and I’m unfortunately going to have to use another platform today which I’m really, very bummed about. That’s why I’m here writing this review. I’m not canceling as of now. I want to wait it out a little longer to see if anything changes for the better, but eventually if it’s still not working there’s really no point in me keeping my subscription to this app. This app would be the perfect workout app if it wasn’t for the lack of stream-ability. It’s just SOOOO frustrating!
I love the application and the workouts. Nothing, but great things, however I cannot play my music while on the app.
