Updated my gen 1 iPad mini with latest Philo app. Everything works fine except that there is no sound now. Very disappointing.
Philo seems great as a TV service provider, but needs chromecast support to be complete.
Offers all the channels I have been missing. As much as I love it a couple of things I’d like to see is the channels broken down so that shows can easily be found without having to search. Also even though the channel is available not all shows are. I’d love to see more shows added. For example Counting On is available but has no shows.
GUI not intuitive, no Apple TV or iPad support. Mirrors only audio on Apple TV. But it has my favorite channels.
I only wanted live TV so i could watch rupaul’s drag race, but all other services didn’t include VH1. they were extremely pricey too! i saw an ad for Philo on instagram that included rpdr and vh1! Only $16!!!! not only do they provide great live TV quality, they also automatically DVR episodes!!!! i’m very thankful for this service! Highly Reccomend
I have tried to start the free trial several times. I even restarted my phone and downloaded the app again and I still don’t get sent the code to start the trial. I was really excited to try this app but I guess not.
I just downloaded this app a few hours ago and started my free trial and I gotta say, I’m loving it! Even the monthly fee is doable for anyone, coming from someone who hasn’t had cable in over a year. The only suggestion for improvement I have is to give the app a guide. There are soooo many shows this app covers but you have to manually look for them. The current shows that are broadcasting live are pretty much what I want to watch but a guide will make it easier to see what’s on, on all channels at once. I’ve just found myself bouncing from one show to the next trying to keep up with what’s on and after a while I gave up but I think a guide would make this app 5 star worthy without doubt! Absolutely a great app to look into
I love this service. I have had it for about a year and no problems at all.
I got this app mainly just to watch VH1 and time after time episodes aren’t caught up I would love to watch the most recent episodes of Rupaul’s Drag Race which haven’t been updated since episode 7 and its on episode 11 now
Great price. I want to try this out but I will wait until there’s an Apple TV app. Until then I’ll be waiting. I literally downloaded the app so I could review it to suggest this.
