InstaCal is the missing menu bar calendar macOS deserves. InstaCal is an affordable, yet powerful calendar app that puts all your events right at your fingertips, always available in your Mac's menu bar. InstaCal is quick and convenient, and can be opened at any time with a configurable keyboard shortcut. From there you can view your calendar events, make changes, invite friends or even add new events. You can also see your Reminders list, and add new reminders as well as view and edit existing ones. You can use any of the calendars added to your Mac (those available in the Calendar app) as well as adding unlimited accounts from: - Google Calendar (view, respond to invitations, create new events and edit existing events) - Office 365 (view and respond to invitations) - Outlook (view and respond to invitations) InstaCal also includes: - Customizable calendar colors and overall appearance - Useful menu bar options (to replace the system date) - Touch Bar support - Support for Dark Mode If you have any questions or suggestions, please reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org. We are always working to improve our apps and add useful features requested by our customers!
I had a 1 star review because I had problems after an update. I never could reach support, but I fixed it myself and it is back to basic operation.
As much as I wanted & appreciated the functionality of this (Apple Calendar, pay attention), it is absolutely not worth purchasing. I wouldn’t be keeping it if it were free either, the fact that I paid for it just adds insult to injury. Not only did it quit working, it turned out to be spyware – no wonder there’s no support available. 1. This app invades your privacy. 2. It quit working with no recourse. 3. Higher Bar, LLC is unreachable. 4. Please read the small print on this one, or scan it at least.
As mentioned, this is a good replacement for the original Fantastical. I had trouble setting it up initially but eventually was able to get it to sync with an Office365 account. However, all events show up 3 times. I cannot find any online help and there does not appear to be a way to contact the developer. This is very annoying and so only 3 stars. If there was a way to fix this, i would rate it 4 stars. It does not show the details of the events (links, notes, etc) and this would keep it from being 5 stars for me. Update: I found that by deleting the birthday and holiday calendars, events only appear once. Loss of the holiday and birthday calendars is not critical as this computer is used for work. So upgraded to 4 stars. Links to meetings sometimes are clickable, sometimes not. Would be nice if this were fixed or more consistent.
a daily utility, works well, feature request: make links LIVE!
I am quite happy with most of the functionality of this app, worth everything! My ONE request from the devloper: When I am in other apps (like zoom....) the InstaCal in the header menu on the mac doesnot show up-> I HAVE to click on the home desk top screen no matter what other app I am in to "get out" of the program before IC will "show up" in the menu bar, and that just adds extra steps when the WHOLE POINT of this app is that it is always small and avaliable, no matter what app I am running. Please?!?!!!
I have only used this app a short time but so far it has worked satisfactory
I was unable to use the app to its full potential as my company administrator did not allow me to integrate with our mail/calendar app (Office 365). I had to delete - wasted $5.30.
...and what probably should be native to iOS! Happy to support this fine product.
I cannot click on zoom links that are on calendar items, which means I have to open the calendar app and click from there. This defeats the purpose of the menu bar calendar.
A very useful app that puts lots of personal information at your fingertips and has plenty of fun little features to play around with and customize to your liking. In addition the support team is very fast to respond and very patient and friendly.
