InstaCal is the missing menu bar calendar macOS deserves. InstaCal is an affordable, yet powerful calendar app that puts all your events right at your fingertips, always available in your Mac's menu bar. InstaCal is quick and convenient, and can be opened at any time with a configurable keyboard shortcut. From there you can view your calendar events, make changes, invite friends or even add new events. You can also see your Reminders list, and add new reminders as well as view and edit existing ones. You can use any of the calendars added to your Mac (those available in the Calendar app) as well as adding unlimited accounts from: - Google Calendar (view, respond to invitations, create new events and edit existing events) - Office 365 (view and respond to invitations) - Outlook (view and respond to invitations) InstaCal also includes: - Customizable calendar colors and overall appearance - Useful menu bar options (to replace the system date) - Touch Bar support - Support for Dark Mode If you have any questions or suggestions, please reach out to email@example.com. We are always working to improve our apps and add useful features requested by our customers!
This app alleviates the need for the list hanging from my monitor. Plus it includes reminders as well. Pros: 1. Configured to replace Menu bar day/date. 2. Color dots display on the calendar which correspond to the list below. 3. The list view is my preferred view. And it looks great. 4. Reminders display in the upcoming events. 5. Notifications for a calendar or reminder type can be toggled on or off. Tips: 1. Click the check mark at the bottom to toggle between the Reminders & Calendars list. 2. Toggle a calendar or reminder off/on by clicking Calendars or Lists at the bottom of the view. This opens the list below. (It's not in Settings) Cons: 1. I don't see a way to show days of the week at the top of the calendar. I can easily see the day in the menu bar to figure out which day is which though.
There is no better way to view your calendar than with InstaCal for macOS! I've used it daily for years and love it.
continually asks for login without showing any data. Super frustrating. No Support.
App crashes if an O365 account is added. If account already existed before the upgrade, app crashes on launch.
Adding my Office 365 account almost immediately crashes the app. I was able to work around this by adding it to my Internet Accounts on the Mac and then adding local calendats to InstaCal, but that's WAY less than ideal.
Event setting to dim or strike through past events not working. Support link on Mac App store take you to dead Google site.
I like this app and have been using it for a long time. Currently with Catalina, adding Office365 calendars does not work. I would have sent this to their support site, but its Google ...which is dead. I hope this doesn't get abandoned.
In April Google is doing away with google so you need to provide some other way for us to be able to contact you for support. If not we will have to look for a new app from someone else. I do love the app and have no complents with it except it won't load on macos 10.15. Pleawe fix and respond to us.
I'm seeing LOTS of duplicate entries from my Office 365 calendar. Tried clicking on "App Support" but it takes you to a defunct Google page. Hoping the developer will reach out, help me fix this so that I can change my review! I really want to love this app.
I refer to my calendar a lot and hate to have a webpage or full app open. InstaCal lets me see the date at a glance and pull up my calendar in a minimal, yet informative format. The only changes I would make are to the interface for inputting data - would love to have something a little less clunky. But overall I love this app!
