I enjoy listening to Castbox because I can only watch so much tv, and sometimes I put my books down and take a rest and listen! There are many interesting stories and shows to listen to! I constant ads, is killing me. I’ve been with this app for years, but the push to go to a paid subscription may push me to start using Amazon, since I already pay for that service

Crashbox has died a slow death….. Version 9.14.0 Killed It for me

Used to be a decent podcast player and I became a Premium member. I don’t know what is going on at Castbox, but today for some reason it deleted all my downloaded episodes (about 40-45) in a Playlist and deleted all shows in one of my Tagged categories. Talk about a major disappoint, this is the worst failure I’ve ever seen from a podcast app. So they contacted me and said to delete some episodes, clear the cache, etc. I can’t delete delete episodes because I can’t even see them as they were somehow, mysteriously deleted by a bug in Castbox 😢 . And there's nothing in the cache. Now, they brilliantly designed another glitch that keeps ANY of my downloads from being seen in the Downloads list of all Categories 😑. And did I mention there’s no way to edit your comments you leave for episodes? They give you a way to delete them, but they have no option to just simply edit a spelling error, etc. so you’re left with either deleting the comment entirely and starting all over or leaving it like it is. Only laziness, incompetence or lack of talent would cause the developers to overlook or not include such a simple function. Update 3/3/23: The latest Update, 9.14.0, finally done it for me. This update has significantly slowed the loading of Castbox and introduced a bug that causes the app to crash at least once every time I listen to a downloaded episode. After patiently waiting for these clowns to get it as useful as it once was, fixing the bugs they’ve introduced and happily taking my money, I’ve cancelled my subscription and am now using another podcast app.
