The user interface could be better done. Alerts pop up and they don’t have any context. It’s difficult to chose an area on the map to view.
The ap doesn’t list all the places that National Weather Service lists. For example I was searching for Piconic and Gardiners bay and only could get Montauk or Riverhead, the weather in those areas can be quite different so accuracy is important to me when making decisions. I guess if one needs a general idea of the weather it’s ok but not if your relying on accuracy.
Does not always show wave height info for every location which is important for smaller craft. Otherwise it’s spot on
Easy to get point measurements for what you need! It beats googling it.
Simple to use..quickly gives me what I need..
So far it is non-fuctional, got one forecast only which cover wind/rain info but no wave height
I was hoping for this app to have the NOAA marine forecast discussion. All this information is available in many websites for free. The tide chart is ok but not accurate for my area.
Note you have to swipe left to see tide. Swipe right to see weather.
Should tell you it only does inshore reports 20 nm out
The NWS forecast info is presented well. And this is the first app I have seen to clarify the difference between a spot forecast and a forecast zone. And I like that chance of rain or T-storm is imbedded. Because I get to see wind, wave and rain forecast quickly and easily, it has become my most used marine forecast app. Unfortunately, the forecast zones are shaded over the maps, obscuring the lines between the offshore (20nm) zones and making it harder to find onshore landmarks. Seems like this could be easily fixed?
