I have to say it has always been a dream of mine to be able to pick up a guitar and be familiar and learn to make musical sounds :) I decided to solely use the Fender App to help me begin to achieve this. I’m happy to tell you that I can now play a few chords and I’m learning the fretboard more and more every virtual lesson I take! Thank you for an easy to follow format and amazing teachers. Sincerely, Brandon Boyd
I’ve been loving the app for learning guitar. I’ve tried a few times in the past but stalled out after some time. This app has helped keep me engaged and learning. The only thing I’ll need is continued support of the songs list provided to keep me around. I love how they teach the songs but I just find myself wishing for more. If they can continue to update their song list so I find more I personally like I’ll stick around for quite some time I’m sure.
Fender Play has been the best thing I have ever used to learn guitar—everything I need in one place and they go nice and slowly and don’t make you feel rushed or discouraged.
This app is incredible. Classes are just right and provide the proper amount of instruction. Love the APP.
I am brand new to guitar. So far I like this app. It is what I needed — lesson plans that start from zero and progress rapidly. How I use it is on my Apple TV using the airplay option. That, however, doesn’t work for the audio only practices. So I need to disable airplay in order to get the audio out on my phone. Given these lessons are also available on the Fender website, I can imagine making an Apple TV app for very minimal effort (if you need help, reach out to me :-). I know market analysis will tell you only a small fraction of users do it this way but those of us on Apple TV would be forever grateful and I promise it can be done in one day (including App Store submission).
I’m playing guitar very well now it’s all because of this app
Lessons are well done and slow and clear, but the exercises bail out frequently before really getting a grip on them. Maybe just a glitch but annoying.
You have to pay a subscription and make an account before you get to do ANYTHING, and as a kid, that basically deems the app unusable, but if you pay, I’m sure it would do fine. It was $50 a year , ( about $3 a month) or $5 a month.
