Stupid app, what if in settings I turn on Wi-Fi and close the app? Will it stop Wi-Fi!!! Hello no!!! But this vpn app does close the VPN!!! Go figure!!!
This is slower than other vpn apps I have used. Biggest problem for me is there's zero options to edit your connection. I would like to be able to change security settings like sha-2 or aes 256 vs ipsec or open. Weak program here Just updating this review. This app disconnects my vpn minutes after I lock my iPhone screen. I use pia vpn and it always stays connected so back to pia. Avg you need to step up your game and stop making sub par apps Also my email account was hacked from an ip address from Czech Republic. Just like all other avg products you can't trust them. I do it support for a living and I should have known better to give avg another chance
It’s good but it makes me turn it in manually every 2 seconds and even when I turn it to automatically it barely even turns it on
Works as advertised. No problems since loading the app!
Not convenient since it doesn’t stay on.
I thought I was the only one bugging it seems I wasn’t!! If you read below, its happened to multiple people! I CANCELLED MY FREE TRIAL AND I WAS STILL CHARGED THE YEARLY COST. WHAT GIVES MAN?? And don’t tell me “oh this is how you cancel a subscription”... I know how to cancel a subscription. I did it correctly. I’ve done it many many times. And yall still charged me. Truly unprofessional.
I love the freedom to go on the internet without worrying someone is looking at what I’m doing! I finally feel safe!
Cons: This app may be ok for some banking (if you band doesn’t block VPNs), but when I am in Europe, it is readily detected by several sites and blocked for using a known VPN. Other VPN product frequently change access points or use a higher grade system so you can have full access to US sites when traveling. Also, while it says it is usable for five products, that claim is very misleading. It is linked to you Apple account, not AVG account. So, if you have five iPads that you personally use, it probably works. However, for a family or if you use Apple and Android products it does not work. Pros: It is easy to use, and allowed fast transfer/ downloads (lots of VPNs slow data significantly). I will NOT renew unless these serious flaws are worked out. This also has me rethinking using AVG for an anti-virus. I just want one service capable meeting basic needs (being able to protect a family’s devices, both IOS and Android based).
I downloaded the free trial and before I even setting up a profile wanted to cancel it and I'm not able to because their instructions to do at a ridiculous something about Google Play.
This only really protects you from criminals at most. The encryption is extremely weak and they log your information and payment history which they surrender over to law enforcement which is not a good thing if you’re looking for absolute privacy.
