I bought this after reading all the great reviews. I'm an accountant, and I needed something simple for my own business, so I understand these programs. However after I painstakingly entered in 256 line items for the year 2020, I just wanted to generate a simple Income and Expense Statement. I couln't figure it out. I thought there might be a problem with the program that could easily be fixed. So I emailed the help email. Nothing... I emailed them again the next day. Still silence. I've emailed them everyday for six days and havn't heard a thing. I'm being completely ghosted by these people. Sure $40 isn't a lot of money, but I would expect to get some support for that. Maybe the company owner will read this and decide to start supporting his product.
I like thi app a lot. I specially like the Sync between my iPhone app and the Mac app. Only thing that I cannot figure out is how to add my Credit Card balances on here and have the balance go down as I make my payments. Aside from that I like it alot.
Problem: i love this app, but it only gets 3 stars because of annoyance, The app asking for restore purchase everytime i open the app.
im really loving the app, but im gonna focus on some bugs and features i would like to see. -sometimes although it says it backed up (green cloud) one account is not, i need to make a change in that specify account to make it updateor i need to clase the app and open again. -sometimes on account balance is showing the incorrect balance, againg making a operation in that account fixes the error. features. -icloud sharing, I would say this is a must for SMB and even to personal use if you want to share accounts with your wife for example. something like bank fees support, in that way the procedure would be automated, right now sometimes for lack of time i dont enter the banks fees. after that it would be perfect at least for me
Having downloaded almost 70 finance apps, I finally came across this one that suits all my needs. It's minimalist with intuitive UI/UX; it has double entry booking just like how actual accounting works; it allows custom categories and shortcuts. Everything I am looking for. I always liked to hand write/record my finances/expenses, because other app's auto-entry by pulling from bank accounts just isn't enough. Others cannot accurately give descriptive names to transactions and they never always correctly categorize transaactions. This app solves it all
This program has everything you’d want in double entry bookeeping software and it’s a very intuitive, user friendly platform. I bought the full version so I can put it on all my devices which sync seamlessly, allowing me to make entries “on the go”.
Problem: I love this app, but it only gets 3 stars because of pricing. The full version is $40. But I am one half of a couple. So if I pay $40 for the full veresion, my spouse can't—he also has to pay $40. Base on this, "Supports Family Sharing" is only half-true. This is partly Apple's fault, since Apple doesn't allow family sharing of in-app purchases, but the problem could be fixed by the developer (see solution below). Solution: Make a separate "pro" version as a standalone app so that when I purchase this (for $40!!!) my spouse can download it and use it as well. $80 for two people in the same home to use the same app is just too much. We're not all part of the 1%, folks!
I would have to say this is a very nice way to look at all your money visually, but unfortunately I find it a little hard to use; many times making the mistake of making my payments in wrong accounts which comes down to having to recheck every transaction.
App is not free and only allows read only privileges once the trial period of 14 days is over. Disappointed I wasted time to download thinking it was free.
My wife and I have been looking for a great financial app to keep track of our spending. We have 4 kids, 3 different bank accounts, rental property, mortages, car loans, credit cards, HSA, and retirement accounts and this app has successfully brought them all together so we can keep track of everythig down to the penny! It was a learning curve how to set things up, but now that we're up and running, we couldnt be happier. Being able to track spending and receipts from our phones on the go and then sitting down at out laptops and doing larger bills and having everything synced up is a huge plus! However, here's my gripe... We both started with the trial version, that is after I had to purchase and set-up iCloud storge family sharing and then realizing that we still couldn't use the app together unless we were under the same apple ID. So we then switched her apple ID over to mine (thus affecting texting, facetime, apple pay, and location services) just so we could use the financial app together and have things synced up so we knew what each other were spending and how much money was in our accounts in real-time. I understand a big part of this frustration is how apple does its family iCloud storage sharing and you don't have control over that. But perhaps allowing us to setup what online storage we can use would help. Perhaps DropBox or other similar online storage that allows multiple users to access the same files. After finally getting everything up and running on 2 laptops and 2 iphones - and loving it - the trial version ends. So I purchase the ios app on my phone and the full version on my laptop without a problem (both full price). My wife (who now has the same apple ID) installs the iphone app without a hitch - and without paying. After all, it's the same apple ID and it says that this app can be shared with up to 6 family members. But when we sat down to do our monthly bills at our laptops (again with the same apple ID), we had to purchase the app again for her laptop! Albeit, it was at a discounted price of $29.99, but why?? That seems ridiculous and I was very frustrated at having to do this. This app is fantastic - but it seems very much oriented to a single user and not a couple who share a bank account. We already have everyting up and running and we are very happy with the app as a whole, but we had to jump through several hoops and work-arounds to make it happen for both of us. And then having to purchase it again for my wife's laptop just seems petty. Perhaps it's a glitch and we shouldn't have had to pay, but we did. I'd gladly give this 5 stars if that problem was fixed. And I'd be happy to let others know about this app, but it has to be more user-friendly for those of us who are married/co-habitating and share bank accounts.
