Ask your doctor and healthcare provider about your usage of the app and if they can receive photos for telehealth consultations or triage. Always follow your doctor’s instructions. MIISKIN DOES NOT PROVIDE A DIAGNOSIS The app does not diagnose your moles or evaluate the risk of melanoma, skin cancer or any other conditions. The app assists you with tracking skin and moles over time with a photo diary. We do not think that with today’s technology and the present quality of smartphone images it is possible to provide AI diagnoses of melanoma or skin cancer risk. Therefore, we opt not to attempt this. If you find a mole or mark that looks concerning you should always consult a certified doctor. I have a lot of moles all over my body, so I need a good way to keep track of them. I have been disappointed by a lot of the free apps, many of which seem to have design flaws that never get fixed, or they just get abandoned altogether after a few updates. I finally decided to subscribe to Miiskin this week in the hope that paying for an app will actually help it continue to improve over the long term. I figure the subscription is about as much as the copay for my dermatologist, so it’s not too bad. And as I have explored the app, I have been really pleased. There are a lot of useful features and they seem to work. I really like having the ability to import older pictures, and to add notes to all the photos. The photo taking interface is easy to use, and the pictures are really clear. The pin protection feature for the photos is a good safeguard. And the process for exporting photos seems to be easy, too. I hope the app continues to improve, though. Automated views from the left and right sides, and perhaps other hard to reach areas, would be great - I have a lot of moles that aren’t visible in typical front and back views. And I would be really glad to have something like the automatic face tracking feature that worked on any part of the body where there was a skin problem. Overall, I would recommend it to anyone with lots and lots of moles.
I paid for the premium version specifically for mole sizing and it hasn’t worked for a few weeks. Please, please fix this soon.
This is not a user friendly app. I don’t know if my dr will receive my pics or not. For a new user the instructions are very unclear.
We have a big issue with ticks in the northeast and one problem is that we have to do daily self checks. Your app would be great in full body scan to quickly determine if a new dark spot is a mole or a tick. Can you add that possibly?
Having been recently diagnosed with skin cancer, I was looking for a place to follow my moles. I am not interested in a subscription. Why would I when I can take pictures myself and put a reminder on my calendar to check them in a month or so? Regardless, I thought maybe there would be a lite version. To my surprise and disgust, the app was lite then stopped. You can take and save THREE pictures before having to pay. Nope, not worth it. Folders on my phone and a reminder on my calendar will be just fine.
Keep asking me to pay the bill
Good overall, subscription worth it, -2 stars for nagging for a review after every photo retake.
Three stars for constantly asking me to write a review
I would not have subscribed if I knew unsubscribing would be so hard!!
I love this app! It’s very easy to use and laid out perfect for its purpose. I feel like a big downfall is that you only get to track 3 moles for free, and the subscription cost seems high
