I was really liking this app but I don’t understand why they have to start charging I am very unhappy about this
Check out HomeBudget. VERY BASIC free Lite app, with the full version unlocked at a one time purchase of $4.99. Nearly the same formula as Dollarbird.
I’ve been using Dollarbird for over 7 years and I’ve loved it. I’ve recommended it to anyone looking for an app to help track their money. I love the calendar way to track so I can see upcoming payments. I would pay a one time fee, but I can’t afford a monthly fee. I wish I could keep using, but I’ll have to find something else. I hope that you guys stick around because you make an easy to use money app.
Love this app. Been using it free for a few years. Really like how it keeps track of all my spending and future recurring transactions. Makes my life so much easier. Just today 3/11 the app informed me that either the app closes down or people start subscribing. I chose the $4.99 a month. Worth it completely. There’s also also a search option for specific transaction. Love it!
Finally spoke to someone a lot nicer than whoever responds to these reviews and got all but one issue figured out. Will give it 4 stars because I still can’t delete a category.
This was a great app until they just decided out of the blue with very short notice that it was going to be a subscription only. A very expensive subscription too for what the app offers. I have used this app for years and no discount was offered. I would consider a one time fee as I liked it but it not worth what they are asking sadly. Will find an alternative app because of their actions!
I’ve tried lots of finance apps. Dollarbird is by far the best one and I recommend it to everyone I know. I love how you can manually input everything, and even add pictures or notes. I also love how you can set up recurring things and see exactly how much you will have in your account on a certain future date. This app has everything I’m looking for. I was more than happy to pay for the paid version in their latest update. It’s well worth a few bucks a month.
So this app used to be free and I loved it. It was simple and did exactly what I needed it to do. It tracked my monthly bills, showed my current bank balance, and allowed me to plan ahead for upcoming payments/expenses. As of today, I can’t add a new transaction and I’m told that the free plan “is no longer offered.” In order to use the app any longer, I have to upgrade and pay $3.99/month or $55/year..... yeah... not happening. Immediately deleting.
Charging premium for an app that doesn’t add properly, a basic and essential function of what it should do? What a joke. Oh! And it’s not app, it’s a website wrapper.
Loved the app and giving it 5 starts for the free version. Extremely disappointed it is changing to subscription at such a high rate. If it were cheaper I’d consider keeping.
