I love this service. I helps me rapidly move though scientific literature. The pronunciation of scientific language is remarkably strong. My only problem is that there is a word cap, per month, for the higher quality voices, even with the premium service. I would not use this service if restricted to the basic voices as they are too jarring. If possible I will purchase more premium words.
This is a good app. Downloaded to read my writing back to me. Voices more life like than other apps. I recommend it. Nice that it’s free. Thank you good work. Also very useful for people who cannot read for whatever reason as I tried this function to have articles played back, excellent all around.
It was good but it took some time to process the content to library.
Free account gets blocked until an annual prescriptions is bought
Easy to use and made this a new fun way to read!!!
Speechify is a gem! I am so lucky to have come across this useful educational tool. I think listening to text while I look at it helps me understand the info better, and this app helped me carry out my wish. Thank you Cliff! :)
This app is very overpriced $140!!! And still, you have a limit of HD words. You will run out of these words by the first week of your month. Then, you’ll spend the last three weeks listing to a non HD voice (which your iPhone already does for free anyways) it’s called text to speech. They add a bunch of features that don’t work. Snapchat thing, doesn’t work. It just crashes. The news thing, doesn’t work. It continues to show news from 6 weeks ago with today’s date. Literal fake news. It crashes a lot, constantly. Like in the middle of your run, it crashes and then you have to stop running to restart the app. And it doesn’t remember where you left off last time. You have to start from the beginning. The support is extremely unprofessional. It’s just some dudes texting you. There’s no email, no phone number to call. Just some dude texting you. Think about an app like Netflix, you pay like $7 and get UNLIMITED MOVIES. This app charges you $140 and you have a limited number of words. It’s really sad bc it’s a great idea but terribly executed. I wouldn’t recommend this to a graduate student. It’s just for listening random articles here and there. But not for serious readers.
know i am able hear the books i wasn’t able to before. thank you
