Overpriced

The credit system is a joke. There’s no rhyme or reason to the pricing of certain jobs. If someone has request a quote from you then the price goes up for no reason at all. I’d highly recommend saving your money and using a different hiring service.

Be aware

1
This site is a rip off!! I Got charge $35 and I didn’t get the 2 people I was interested in! I ask how much each point is worth still they haven’t answered my question 😡 And today I got and email saying that they charge you even though you don’t get the client! Seriously!!! 2 people for $30 and I don’t even get the client!! That’s ridiculous.. I ask for my money back but I guess I won’t get it. Don’t waste your time on this app it’s a waste of money. I have $5 left so I guess it’s $15 per person depending on how much the client pays for training and it can go even higher per person.. 💁🏻🤦🏻‍♀️

Expensive and little return

2
Of all the apps I have used for services Bark is the most expensive one charging you around $12-$18 to send a message to a client with no refund if the client doesn’t answer or doesn’t even open your message. I have used other different apps with the same idea and got lots of business from them (like thumbtack) and these apps they do work if you put your effort and really send lots of messages. Unfortunately Bark prices are just too high for the almost non answer from the clients (thumbtack average $6-$8 and Lessons.com $4 to send a message). If they could at least provide a percentage refund or even a full refund from the quotes in case your message doesn’t get read that would give much more security for the users to try. Other than that the app has a very good design and quick response from the team.

Scam-Don’t use this

1
It says free 30 day trial to get you to enter your card info. The free trial is NOT free because in order to respond to any job offers you have to pay therefore it is NOT FREE! It charged me $30 although I never even used this app and cancelling is ridiculous and I cant find any place on the site to cancel although it says you can cancel at any time. Ya RIGHT! Do NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!

Disaster

1
Try out Bark and it seems like a big disappointment. Bought leads and contaced them but never got any solid response. They might be fake leads. Customer service team is basically invisible. 1-star.

Garbage app

1
Stick to thumbtack. The leads are garbage, they cost way too much, if nothing pans out for you don’t expect bark to refund you. They make money off of bad leads and their user system is abysmal. DO NOT USE.

My Business was at a low point and Barks helped me increase my revenue by 150%. Booking over 12 jobs within 30 days. Barks is truly an amazing marketing tool.

Misleading app

1
So you guys sent me a lead showing that is from WESTFORD MA. I stupid me buy some credits to give this thing a try it turns out the potential lead is from Hawaii. Not cool. Waste of my money . I with I could get s reimbursement of the credits I used for that lead. Misleading app.

STAY AWAY. THEY ARE FRAUDS.

1
They had a promo running guaranteeing at least one job from the credits you buy. The deal was that if you don’t get a job they reimburse the credits so you can to use hunting for jobs. $290 later no job and no credits refunded to continue looking for work. The ad was purposefully misleading and tried and also tried to get me to sign up for auto billing when you run out of credits which would have negated the promise they originally made. I did not sign up for the auto billing and still got shafted. These people are con artists.

Freelance or Small Agency 👍

5
I own a small advertising agency and Bark has been a good place for us to find interested prospective clients. There are a few areas for improvement from my perspective, but the platform is much better than others within the same field. We are looking to continue to use Bark and if the areas for improvement are addressed within the future we will double down on how often we use Bark. If you want control of RFPs (Request for proposal) and prospective clients then Bark is your best option!
