Much better app than Reflectly. (which makes you pay after two days of use) Fun, easy to use, and very helpful. It keeps track of goals and sends reminders FOR FREE! Must-have app!👍🏻
I think the mood planner feature is fantastic, but I’d appreciate more colors and more emotes. A feature similar to the mood tracker to track pain on the 1-10 scale would also be helpful.
This has been one of my most-used apps for years now, but I deeply regret downloading the latest update. The new versions of the “activities” icons are difficult for me to tell apart: they are way too smoothed-down, and the lines and details are now so tiny I can barely see them even on my large phone screen. It feels unpleasant to look at them. I’m annoyed with the smoothed corners everywhere on the app; the sharp corners in the previous version gave me a sense of order which is now lost. I feel like the contrast is lowered now, and I have to strain my eyes a lot to see what’s going on. I wish I could get rid of the “photo” bar that now clutters up the bottom of every entry, but I’m stuck with it even though I won’t use this feature. VERY unhappy that I cannot roll this update back.
I’ve struggled for years with my emotional and mental health. Knowing a big part of my progress relies on the cognitive and behavioral actions I take every day, Daylio has been a lifesaver! With it, I can track my moods and the activities that coincide with them. I get a daily moment to reflect on my health and stats with which I can make choices about days to come. I’ve been using Daylio for over a year now and have seen a marked improvement in my mental and emotional health. Thank you, Daylio!
I’ve always loved journaling, even when I was young. But one thing I could never accomplish was longevity. I’d write in a journal for a couple months then completely forget about it for another couple of months. This bad habit followed me up until I tried this app. There’s something really freeing about just tracking my mood without necessarily writing about my day and that changed my whole perspective on journaling. When you leave a page blank in a book it feels strange & incomplete but on Daylio I never get that feeling even if I go weeks without writing entries and just rely on my moods. I can proudly say I’ve kept a journal for an entire year without ever missing a day & it’s all thanks to y’all! I truly love this app and I’ve recommended it to anyone who struggles with journaling like I did! ❤️
Okay I LOVE this app BUUUUT it needs to have a password or something and what’s with the premium? Just think you login to your phone and then you’re mom calls you! Your friend or sibling goes to the phone and starts opening the app and then typing something and saves it! Sooooooo... If you want to have a password for your diary DO NOT choose this app! No hard feelings but hate who ever made it so there’s no password.
It’s a 7 day trial.
Adding the option to add pictures to an entry was such a great idea, I love including snippets of the day when I’m too lazy to write. I don’t know if it’s possible to add more than one picture to an entry, but one picture is sufficient for now.
I always hated journaling because it took too much effort, so I started writing down 3 good things that happened each day on sticky notes just to help me ease into it. I eventually starts losing the notes so I decided to get this app because I saw it on my friends phone. And WOW, I went from just jotting down a few things that happened each day to writing down paragraphs of everything that happened during the day and exactly how I felt. Because I’ve had the app for almost 3 years now and I’ve never missed a day, I practically have a record of my entire college life and I know in the future I’ll have these entries saved so I’ll be able to go back and remember so many significant dates and memories. This app is SO easy to use and keeps everything so organized and is the only app where I didn’t hesitate to buy the premium version!! I don’t think I can express enough how amazing this app has been for me and I HIGHLY recommend this app to anyone and everyone who just want to be able to keep tabs on their own thoughts, feelings, and life in general!!
i journal in this app every single day. i love the graph of moods, the endless amount of activities you can add, and the organization of the app. there are a few features you have to pay for but the app is totally useable for free. if you’re looking for a simple journaling app that will graph your monthly and yearly moods and has almost fully free customization, then this is the app for you. some thoughts: i wish it was easier to transfer data to different apps/download data for free. the free option isn’t efficient so if i ever want to switch to another app or phone, i’ll have to either copy and paste all of my entries or screenshot everything. not efficient. another complaint is that the icons for activities can be pretty cis-heteronormative. it’s unfair that the only icons for like kids/weddings/relationships/faces are only cis-hetero coded. not a giant problem but something that does irk me as an LGBTQ+ person using this app. this shows up in most journaling/self-care apps i’ve tried as well so this is definitely also a bigger picture issue. more inclusive icons would be really nice. another thing is that i do sometimes wish the app looked better (with a design style like Reflectly or something) but that’s honestly just a me problem. there are a few options to change the colors of the app but most are behind the paywall. it’s a good app and i would recommend it for people trying to keep track of their moods and/or make journaling a daily habit.
