Why has my bill skyrocketed to almost $90 a month with no notice? And you don’t make it easy to contact anyone about questions I have. Customer Service is zilch!
I click the app on there’s nothing there like I deleted and downloaded it again like 4x but I just won’t work
Overall good experience. I do wish they had more Spanish channels. Iv been watching the Gold Cup and wanted Spanish commentating.
The video content on YouTube TV and its DVR functionality are great, as is the actual streaming quality. Unfortunately, the overall experience is terrible because of Google’s refusal to adhere to tvOS conventions or use the native player interface. Here’s a partial list of reasons I will be canceling my service and removing the app after the Olympics are over (most of which also apply to the main YouTube app): * UI doesn’t properly support native momentum scrolling & swiping, instead slowly moving one item at a time and stuttering between them. * Player doesn’t properly support the jump forward/backward 10s functionality like the standard player, making it unusable for skipping commercials or dead air in a recorded live program * Player’s scrubbing functionality is almost impossible to use: no circular scrubbing with the new remote, oversensitivity makes it impossible to dial in to a specific part of longer content, no indication where you were last playing when you inevitably scrub too far forward due to aforementioned oversensitivity, scrubber thumbnails are low resolution * While playing, no ability to lightly touch the surface to view the current playback time or tap again to view the clock time * Captions, audio settings, and program info not available via a swipe down top menu bar like every good tvOS app. * When holding the TV button to access the profile switcher and audio settings, live content is not supposed to stop playing! Yet this app pauses it every single time. Just because I want to AirPlay the audio to speakers in my kitchen. * Oh wait, I can’t actually AirPlay the audio to other speakers in my house, presumably because the developers are using some garbage custom audio engine that doesn’t properly integrate with tvOS/iOS. After changing speakers, the content just sits there frozen refusing to play back. So I can’t actually watch live sports with audio playing in different zones like I can with any basic tvOS app. * Olympic programs are organized by sport, but with no ability to filter by team or even see which teams are playing without viewing the program. Considering how heavily they’re advertising YouTube tv for Olympic viewing, it’s quite shocking that nobody thought it would be important to show the countries in team competitions. Use the built-in tvOS components! If you really can’t do that for some reason, well then you have an incredible amount of work to do to recreate that experience and be consistent with the platform. The current experience is just awful for an Apple TV app.
I’ve downloaded the App ok several iPhones and it’s not working (it’s not loading any content; error 401). I spoke to the support team a couple of times yesterday and they couldn’t help. It appears to be a bug related to the new update.. PLEASE work on a solution. Thanks
Can we get a YouTube tv app for tv. Cuz it’s dumb im trying to watch my show and keeps shutting me out. Support is no help either.
Great channels and everything but this app just doesn’t function well. If you’re streaming it to your tv it’s a nightmare and there are so many bugs to it.
