i have a 'few' identifiable air-borne particle allergies and having access to this app (along with weather forecasts) has allowed me to better care for myself...
works great no problems
This is the app I trust when it comes to air quality
I know readings are accurate. Gives forecast which is great. Readings less localized though as less instruments which I understand.
This is easily and by far the most useful and reliable app for gauging air quality, and increasingly important task as we deal with poor air quality from fires and pollution.
I live near wildfires so this app has been extremely handy to have around. I would love to support the AirCare team by purchasing the Pro version but this simply isn’t a $15/yr app. I say it’s been handy because I can get literally the same information with a few more clicks just by jumping in the PurpleAir website. Those few clicks are not worth $15/yr of my time. I love the idea of getting alerts but it’s easy enough to just pull out the phone and check the current stats. The ads are already pretty unobtrusive so that’s not an issue. It’s also not providing a service to subscribe to. The data it presents is someone else’s service. I’d gladly pay a 1 time fee of ~$9.99 for what they currently offer as Pro but I wouldn’t subscribe to it. If they were to offer enough new features down the line I’d consider paying for a new version but again, not a subscription.
Easy to use and the real time nature of the readings is very helpful before outdoor activities.
