I’m curious if the developers have actually used this app. There are many flaws in the trip planner: Why are trailers not an option? Filters for camp grounds? Let me find campgrounds outside of trip planner and add them to a trip. The campground search in trip planner is a nightmare. Why ask for MPG if you don’t ask for tank size to calculate when fuel stops are needed? Let me set maximum desired driving time without stops Max drive time per day without camping Let me zoom in and actually look at the map on the trip summary. The tiny map when doing a 1000 mile trip is worthless. I can only zoom when editing the trip? Why no option to plan a round trip? How many users never return “home”? Would be great if you could integrate with Trip Advisor, Atlas Obscura and some other services to plan sightseeing and excursions.
The Dyrt has actual user reviews to help one choose the best campgrounds and sites.
I think it will help us find spots when we are on vacation
Apparently there is a limit to the amount of offline data (maps in this case) and I am not able to download enough to cover my trip. This essential part of the app is crippled and therefore not usable for me.
Quick find of local camp sites along the route or your current location.
This app is nice until I try to leave reviews. Won’t let me add photos just locks up. Which is really annoying after spending five minutes writing a review and I lose it all. Plus if you are leaving a review and leave the app to look something up it resets and you lose your progress. If they want to have the info added by users they need to fix this.
All I get is an initial start-up screen about signing up for 3 months free of Pro. I want more info before I click on an app button to sign up for any offer.
It shows you all the need to know information about the campsites, very well designed I’ll definitely be using this app a lot !
I’ve only ever needed the free version, and I’ve found it to be very useful. Now suddenly the app opens immediately to the Pro Version sign up splash screen with no way to get out of it. It is suddenly useless unless I sign up for Pro. UPDATE BASED ON DEVELOPER RESPONSE: There is no visible “SKIP” to click to bypass the Pro splash screen, but I am able to dismiss it by tapping randomly at the far upper right corner. I’ve tried both vertical and horizontal orientation and adjusted screen brightness both directions, but still see no skip option. Maybe make the “SKIP” option next to the sign up option to thoroughly clear up the problem and avoid confusion as well(?).
Glad I found this, it has opened up so many options.
