I’m really new to guitar and Justin explains things in an easy and comfortable way I’m learning and it’s really exciting seeing the progress.
Successfully going from zero knowledge to lovely calluses on fingertips and 30 A to D chord changes in a minute within a week. Very good app. Important to take it slow and pay attention to when you have acquired the skills to move along. I like the app.
7 days in. Too early to tell. I will update in 6-8 months
I subscribed a year and I only used it a month, because this doesn’t a real way to learn guitar and music. There are just some chord exercises. What a waste of time.
Very well done. Continually expanding. Great song selection.
Justin has obviously been a teacher for most of his life as he has great teaching skills. His breakdown of chords and his style of lesson planning is makes learning fun and easier to understand than my previous experiences with guitar lessons. This app is worth every penny and I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to play guitar!
I am an absolute beginner. At least, I was when I started with this course, but I can now play many songs with ease and continue to progress. The app is organized really well. There are too many songs to count and the app allows you to slow them down to make learning easier. Don’t be afraid to slow a song down. Even the greats do this to learn new material. One thing I don’t like is not having the ability to adjust the volume of the songs. I’m using an Xsonic Xtone and Tonebridge. The problem is, as I adjust the volume of my guitar up, it starts to distort. But I have to increase the volume of the guitar to cut through the instruments in the songs. I’d prefer to lower the volume of the music.
I really like both content and your teaching style. I am looking forward to becoming proficient, with your guidance.
I’m a beginner with about six months experience. I’ve taken in person lessons and added to those several other online lessons that I thought would be helpful. They all start off super simple and then quickly move into stages that are beyond the average student to pick up on their own. Justin‘s guitar starts off with a very simple premise. He shows you some chords and then he gives you a song to play.Others do that, but Justin gives you a backing track so that you can hear the beat and you get a visual of what the beat is actually supposed to do so as a beginner you can see where your strumming goes, and it lets you play with different strumming patterns while you’re being guided by the music pattern and a set tempo. Nothing I’ve seen comes close to this. And this is how you need to learn the guitar. If you’ve tried others and been frustrated, give Justin Guitar a chance. It is truly a different and more helpful experience.
