Windy gives accurate global weather with exceptional easy to understand graphics. I can look at forecast weather days ahead of a flight to get an idea of what I'll have to deal with. My fave of course is high altitude global winds. ...

App Deserves A 10
I’ve been looking for a long time for an app with this much functionality, as well-designed, and with as active community engagement. And, at the moment, it’s free, and with no ads. If you find it as useful as I do, however, the subscription is very reasonable compared to the couple of other “professional” services I have seen. I happily signed up. These people are obviously focused on providing the best and most usable data and visualization possible. I’ve seen too many really good starts go down the drain when someone corporate comes along with better ideas for monetization that ends up killing the thing (I’m looking at you, Storm). I tip my hat to the Windy team.
As every platform growth to some point. Unlike windy does a good stand point which it seems to try to be balance. And undoubtedly it slides in recent months.
I like to sail, fly UAV’s and falcons and this is my favorite app to help me understand what is most likely going to happen with upcoming weather. The free app will even email to let you know when the there is an upcoming wind event!
Nice graphics and easy to zoom in and out, visual of local or global wind patterns.
One of my favorite weather apps
Three :-) give me a five out of five it’s because it’s right when all the weatherman are wrong
I’ve been using this app for years (back when it was a bit clunky and cumbersome to use). But it has come a long way in those years and now it’s a delight to use. This is really the only weather app you need as it has tons of data and displays to look through. I honestly haven’t gone through everything it has yet, but I’m enjoying the journey.
