I love Honeyfi! It’s perfect for having a shared household budget without having to combine all of our finances.
You can’t access the app at all until you link it to a bank account. I won’t be using this.
Love the interface and the ease of use. One thing in particular that this app does and many other budget apps don’t is allow you to select if an individual transaction is included in the budget or not. So tired of mint thinking my credit card payment is a purchase.
I was a Mint user for years, but Mint fell behind and became cumbersome and time consuming to manage. Honeyfi is leaner, faster, and more reliable than Mint, even if you’re single. If you’re not single, there is no comparison. Honeyfi is miles beyond Mint in terms of letting couples coordinate money. No need to share passwords or jumble up information into one account, you each have your own log in and the ability to control what your partner sees so there is a good balance of openness and accountability. Honeyfi adds new features all the time and they take their customers feedback very seriously, so if you don’t see a feature you want, join their user base anyways and ask for it! You’ll probably be surprised how quickly it shows up. Long story short: get Honeyfi, be better at money.
App crashes after creating an account. Says invalid input at top then crashes. iPhone 11 Pro Max iOS 13.6 Edit - the crashes were related to my network wide ad blocker. Whatever it was blocking the Honeyfi app didn’t like. Now I can’t get passed setting up bank account and two factor support.
After trying a ton of budget apps with varying degrees of failure, I heard about Honeyfi from a friend and decided to give it a try. It was a game changer. Everything appears in one fun-to-use interface and allows my partner and I to control our separate accounts and manage joint household accounts. No more spreadsheets clogging my desktop. The only slight hiccup appears when, due to how US banking currently works, we occasionally have to reconnect an account. Even with that, I view it as a non-issue because Honeyfi’s development team is super responsive and helps solve this and any other hiccups I uncover (user caused or otherwise). Hands down the only budgeting app that’s worked on our household!
This app has been an useful tool for my wife and I. I like that I can change or update the budget or make a transaction and my wife is able to see those in seconds. Another cool feature is that you can set up a savings goal together, and you can set up the percentage to be pulled out automatically, so you don't have to do it every time. The money is safely saved and you can check how much your savings are. Another great advantage is that you can reach out to customer service and they will reply you back in a timely manner, I’m speaking within a couple of hours not days. Overall, we are pleased with this app.
This app is hands down the best shared budgeting tool we’ve found. It simple, customizable and works great. There are other apps that seem flashier, but are far too automated and difficult to make work for shared finances. Honeyfi is just what you need to keep you expenses making sense to you and keeping you making smart money choices.
The best app for couples. I was endlessly frustrated the other usual suspects - Mint, YNAB, Quicken, etc. They don’t work for households. This does. My wife and I communicate much better about money. We feel in control and both of us can see activity. Support is fast.
