My nutrition coach turned me onto this app over the competitors. Very happy with the premium version!
Imported recipes are coming up with outrageous calorie counts that I cannot seem to adjust so they are accurate. Very frustrating, this makes it very unusable to me.
So dumb to have a 12 character requirement for a password. At least remind people of this stupid requirement at the login screen.
This is just an incredible solution to knowing exactly how much to consume, get healthy and stay healthy based on my activity levels. And rather than being so strict with my eating schedule I can just see where my daily nutrition is at and base my eating on that. Also in the process of inputting all of my nutrition I have learned so much more about eating healthier. Truly thank you for making this!
Love this app. I use it to track nutrients needed for my various health issues to make sure I can keep healthy and avoid medications. However the most recent update has lost one star for me. My main gripe is the custom recipe section which I use all the time. The function search is a pain as the search box goes away if it doesn’t find something you are searching for - usually when I mistype something. Also if you copy a recipe it doesn’t immediately appear in the list of recipes, and if you edit a recipe the changes don’t show up straight away. Looks like cache is not being cleared properly on the save. Hope these comments make their way back to the developers. Obviously not much user testing was complete before it was released!!
I swapped to Cronometer after MyFitnessPal started charging to scan foods (and MorePlatesMoreDates recommended this app). The interface was confusing at first, but seems more customizable nutrition-wise once you learn. There have been a few foods that were missing from the database (or inaccurate), and pop-up ads are annoying (though not super common) when trying to input foods. Despite these issues, I still prefer Cronometer over MFP due to being able to track micronutrients way easier, more customizability, ease of use, and not charging $$$ to scan foods in.
I have been using this app at least 3 years and have loved it. This new version however, has some changes that are not an improvement. The new font used on the nutrient summary and food diary is faint, difficult to see. It’s not the size. I don’t wear glasses, but find myself zooming in on the entries to see them.
I have a rare immune disorder and need to track my omega six and omega three consumption. Cronometer is the best way I have found to this!
This app is a good replacement for MyFitnessPal ever since they made barcodes a premium feature. The database is sufficient and it is also better at tracking micronutrients. The only thing I hate is that you can’t search recent foods by name. You either have to play Where’s Waldo or scan the barcode again. It is such an easy fix yet it remains a major issue. Still I’m grateful that this app is a solid replacement for MyFitnessPal through and through.
I used to love this app and use it daily. I wish I’d reviewed it and given it five stars then, sorry for being lazy. But I did recommend it to a bunch of people. Now I can’t recommend it anymore and I’ve cancelled my subscription until the bugs are fixed. I have updated my iphone OS to the latest and the app autoupdates. My phone is still freezing—not just the app, but my whole phone—when I try to add foods. Not every time, but a lot. Today it played loud, ominous, military sounding music at me with no apparent volume control or mute in the app. It’s a short clip and just keeps looping. Please, you had a wonderful app. Your improvements over the last six months have made it unusable for me. I want to give you money and use crono every day. Please fix it and stop tinkering with stuff that doesn’t need it. It’s just horribly broken now. Response to dev: If this is a genuine response, please look in your ticket queue, you have several updates to tickets including the screen record of the weird music. Ask “Georgie” the most recent contact. I used to be able to search my tickets when I did support, if you can’t find me look for “music” I doubt any other tickets have that word. It’s impossible to record the freeze because the phone is well, frozen. My phone has storage and works fine with everything else. I’m wondering if there’s some weird thing going on with my paid version that it’s somehow freezing to play an ad—maybe that’s why the music is looping? But I don’t see the ad. I give up though. Your support only answers when they think it’s a simple question and the asker is stupid.
