So happy we don’t miss anything with our Nanit!
No updates, not worth it

They are rolling out an update to force SMS based 2-factor auth for all logins, if you don’t comply, they make your device inaccessible and worthless. If they truly cared about their user’s security they’d offer 2-factor auth methods of an authentication app or email (which they say they support but do not actually allow) or use passwordless or biometric logins all together. This is just a thinly veiled personal data harvesting attempt as SMS can easily be spoofed if an attacker wanted access. That I can’t even access my device in a local-only mode is ridiculous. That they chose to work on this instead of Apple or Google Home integration is absurd. It didn’t even work that well.

The breathing wear paired with the camera give us some awesome sleeping insights. This camera, app and customer service are great! This product gave us peace of mind every time our child was out to bed.

The Nanit app is my most used and reliable app on my phone. The ability for me to check in on my son from another country gives me such inner peace it’s indescribable. I highly recommend the Nanit app on every level.

Our baby turned 9 months old this week and the fact that we’ve been able to watch her progress in her sleep through Nanit has been life changing! The Nanit let’s my husband and I sleep better knowing that if she stops breathing or awakens, we will be notified. We will continue using Nanit with our future children too. As a 28 year old first time mom I highly recommend this product!

This device and app tests the time of your baby. You’ll need it for years so make sure you invest in the right one. Super happy with our Nanit. It’s a lifesaver.

So many times I know I or someone else are in the room, yet it doesn’t capture the motion or sound as a notification. So it makes you wonder what else it might not be notifying you of…
Extremely inconvenient bug with no ETA of resolve

I’m writing this three stars because the app will not dim when using an iPad, it’s very annoying only in the essence that Nanit does not come with a parent unit so you have no choice but to use your mobile device or some other secondary device as the parent unit, half the screen will not dim at night, and I’m constantly having to uninstall and reinstall the app almost daily at this point, for something to be as expensive as this unit was, I would expect some sort of ETA on it’s fix, but there hasn’t been one in a while. Maybe the company should consider coming out with a parent unit for this device to alleviate these types of issues, having to troubleshoot between customer support for Nanit and customer support for Apple is a dead end.
