Dietary advice for gout or kidney stones is often conflicting, inaccurate or even completely outdated. Our app OxiPur contains only the most recent information available on these topics. We analyzed hundreds of scientific studies and summarized the results in helpful notes. You won't find any other resource with this amount of information in one place. Our app is the perfect tool to improve your eating habits and get your health back! OxiPur covers the following topics: DIET AND GOUT ‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾ Even today, the main treatment of gout still focuses too much on avoiding purines, although they are only part of the problem. Our app uses a wider approach and includes additional important factors like alcohol, fructose, and sodium. You can also combine different dietary profiles (e.g. low glycemic index) as needed. LOW OXALATE DIET ‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾ Without proper instruction a low oxalate diet is very complicated to follow. Our app knows the oxalate content of about a thousand foods and helps you plan your meals. It also considers the bioavailability of oxalates as well as other factors that play a role in renal problems like the formation of kidney stones. You can use the app for free with a limited functionality. It doesn't require a registration and is free of ads. If you want more details, you can upgrade each topic with an one-time in-app purchase that adds additional features and information. Take oranges for example.: HSOPH says oranges are very high in oxalates. This app says they are ok and very low. I now can’t trust this app which I had to pay for thinking it would have better info.
Suffer from Gout. This app helps monitor the uric acid in every day food items.
This was the one I was looking for for oxalate-based diet creation on kidney stone prevention. The free version gives a lot of great stuff, but I purchased the paid version two so I could see the cholesterol management as well. I have not seen any other apps that give this level of customization for special diets. It’s not particularly beautiful, but it gets the job done.
Saying every food is moderate is just not helpful or correct.
Broad range of measurements of relevant nutrients and anti-nutrients for many health conditions, with an emphasis on kidney stones and gout. Nicely illustrated information includes suggestions on methods of cooking that improve the amounts of the important nutritional factors, (by reducing total oxalates or soluble oxalates for example). A wealth of nicely documented material. Icing on the cake is if you have a question their support staff is very helpful.
I purchased this to see how much oxalate foods have. Works fine but doesn’t keep tract of how much oxalate you eat in a day. Just get a list.
I have only had this app for 30 minutes and I already know its going to help my kidney stone and gout problem immensely. Thank you for producing such an in-depth nutrition app for these two conditions. It will absolutely help with what ingredients I use to prepare meals. I purchased the pro version of both and to me its worth the 5.99 spent on each.
This app is by far the best reference tool I have found to help me manage diet choices to reduce my kidney stones. I’ve been using the app for ~6 months and it has made tracking my daily Oxalate counts much easier. Was using 3 different tools to try and manage my oxalates and now all I use is this app. Thank you!!!
This app has many features that others don’t, and seems to have the most current and complete oxalate data set. This is the one you want of kidney stones are your concern
Awesome app! A Godsend for those of us suffering from stones or gout. It is a wealth of convenience, facts, current information ,and- very fast & easy to use. I see that it could also be useful for other purposes or afflictions; such as breaking the insulin resistance of diabetes & weight control, with the listing of glycemic index, glycemic load & carb content, anytime a given food is selected. At the time I bought, it was 2 apps, called ‘Oox’; each one under $5. BEST money I ever spent. Keep up the great work!
