By The Athletic Media Company
Poor at best. If I am a subscriber and I see one of your articles on Twitter, I should not have to go through the extra step of logging on to read it. I should be able to use the Twitter link to get onto my subscription. Why can’t your service identify your subscribers whether they are arriving from Twitter or logging on directly to your website? Your service depends upon technology to provide the best users experience. Your service fails in this regard. You have some very good journalists but until you perfect the delivery of the service, I will no longer be a subscriber.
Excellent articles and good coverage of teams and sports.
In depth articles and analysis. Great writers. Local, national, and international focus. Long form articles, breaking news, podcasts, and video. Fantastic deal for the subscription! It’s like a international sports ‘newspaper’
The app continually asks me to subscribe even though I am logged in and can access all content on a browser. Garbage.
Here for the MMA reporting.
Very thorough sports apps with the best writers in the industry. Not just great post game write ups, but also great sports related articles and stories as well.
Glad to see this app is putting the great writing front and center again and not trying to be a media player. I love the podcasts - especially No Dunks, but I have a great podcast app already for that. I wish you could re-order the teams and leagues you are following, so the ones you care more about show up front. Also have an issue with the score tab not showing in progress games - kind of defeats the purpose of having a score section. Please Please Please can we get an iOS 14 Score widget?
Since they redesigned the app, it’s unnavigable. The ‘My Feed’ tab is blank, trying to use the ‘Front Page’ tab kicks you out of the app altogether, and back to your phone’s home screen, with the ‘Trending’ tab, they’ve invented Twitter, when Twitter already exists, and the ‘Scores’ tab doesn’t work at all. The writers are great. You’re just never going to find anything they’ve written using the app.
Major periodicals, even in digital format continue to cut top quality sports reporting and seem more than happy to replace it with click bait. Buy. A. Subscription. Now
Absolutely brilliant. Almost every column is well written. Whatever your interest it has it has it covered. The biggest improvement in the app overall is now when you hear the athletic reports breaking news you can actually find a breaking news story that the athletic reports in the Front Page Section. I love it. Baseball coverage phenomenal. Nothing bad to say.
