Join Trainers across the globe who are discovering Pokémon as they explore the world around them. The newest update to Pokémon GO, the global gaming sensation that has been downloaded over 750 million times and named “Best Mobile Game” by The Game Developers Choice Awards and “Best App of the Year” by TechCrunch, introduced a revamped Gym gameplay experience, including the opportunity to join together with others to battle against powerful Pokémon in the new Raid Battle feature! Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise, Pikachu, and many other Pokémon have been discovered! Now’s your chance to discover and capture the Pokémon all around you—so get your shoes on, step outside, and explore the world. You’ll join one of three teams and battle for the ownership of Gyms with your Pokémon at your side. Pokémon are out there, and you need to find them. As you walk around a neighborhood, your smartphone will vibrate when there’s a Pokémon nearby. Take aim and throw a Poké Ball… You’ll have to stay alert, or it might get away! Search far and wide for Pokémon and items Certain Pokémon appear near their native environment—look for Water-type Pokémon by lakes and oceans. Visit PokéStops and Gyms—found at interesting places like museums, art installations, historical markers, and monuments—to stock up on Poké Balls and helpful items. Catching, hatching, evolving, and more As you level up, you’ll be able to catch more-powerful Pokémon to complete your Pokédex. You can add to your collection by hatching Pokémon Eggs based on the distances you walk. Help your Pokémon evolve by catching many of the same kind. Choose a Buddy Pokémon to walk with and earn Candy that will help you make your Pokémon stronger. Take on Gym battles and defend your Gym As your Charmander evolves to Charmeleon and then Charizard, you can battle together to defeat a Gym and assign your Pokémon to defend it against all comers. You can also participate in Raid Battles at Gyms around the world. A Raid Battle is a cooperative gameplay experience that encourages you to work with up to 20 other Trainers to defeat an extremely powerful Pokémon known as the Raid Boss. If you succeed in defeating it in battle, you’ll have the chance to catch an extra powerful Pokémon of your own! It’s time to get moving—your real-life adventures await! • Update has frozen me out of the game completely!

As the others have noticed the minor inconsistencies have slowed down the game and irritates the flow of the game. But right now I am locked out and can’t get back int the game. I will have to find another game to play if this continues
  • BEST GAME EVER!!!!!!;)

This is probably one of the best games ever if not the best! But that doesn't mean that it doesn't have bugs. The new gym system is great and all but the battles can be pretty laggy. I think that you should make a in game chat so that if you're at a legendary raid you alert 🚨 other trainers. It would also be cool if you could trade battle with other players! I also wish that there were different ways to catch legendarys because I'm just a kid and I'm not allowed to just go and catch Legendarys!
  • Little updates. Game Is now dead.

Once Pokémon GO was first released, it was super fun. I'll admit it. But... updates were once every 2 or 4 months, and 50% of the players quit. They tried to revive it with gen 2 Pokémon but it was too late!
  • Are ya gonna listen to your players orrr~

I agree with IceLion. Why isn't attention being paid to rural players? It's bad enough major internet and cell phone companies don't care about us, but even gaming is slipping away now. Come on. EDIT- I’ve read that Niantic is “trying to solve this” but I find that hard to believe. Perhaps while it’s “in the making,” little things could be done such as, when we sit collecting pokeballs at a Starbucks or something for hours (bc that’s one of the only ways you can do it if you’re rural since you can’t drive-by collect them), we could actually *get pokeballs* and not lvl 1 potions and other crap. Perhaps MORE pokeballs than just 2 when it takes 3-10 to actually *catch* a pokemon that you will probably end up having to transfer anyway bc professor fillintheblank’s appraisal wasn’t too hot and this Pokemon Game doesn’t have vitamins for “trainers” to train their Pokemon. Perhaps ya don’t need to go through so many supplies for ONE pokemon and farming could actually matter. If these things happened I would believe that Niantic cared. Right now it looks like only hackers, no lifers and urban residents can win at this game.
  • Best Game Ever

This game is so fun once you really get into it. Most people will need to be a Pokémon fan to like the game but I personally was not a Pokémon fan and still loved the game. It is a new kind of game that may have some problems but overall it works ok and is super fun. Some people will say the it is a dead game or is a stupid idea but that is there opinion. The updates are not ruining the game and I have no login problems or any problems at all!

New update single handedly ruined the game
  • garbage.

After all this time, the multiple facets of the game that made it originally terrible still remain. Just make a real Pokémon game, not this abomination.

The Lavender Town theme in the song is what really adds to the charm of the app, and the constant events are a fantastic addition as well.
