The Commercial Appeal eEdition is a digital replica of the Memphis newspaper that allows you to flip the pages and scan the headlines. Read all the latest news, sports, entertainment, and business coverage from the daily newspaper in a convenient, easy-to-use format.
I love to read the paper digitally. No paper wasted, can enlarge the font, etc. But lately, this app is not working. It says “no internet connection detected”, when I am clearly connected. I have tried deleting and reinstalling, rebooting my tablet, to no avail. Fix it, please.
& I didn’t like NOT seeing the paper as it literally is. The non “print” edition app, isn’t the same as the actual commercial appeal. It’s worth it to me to thumb through the pages to see the actual CA. Not an app version. Thank goodness! Next step is to do what USA Today has wanted us to do all along. Cancel our $45.00 per month 7 day a week home delivery. Bought a new IPad for less than the cost of home delivery for a year. All good things (apparently) must come to an end. Hasn’t been the same since USA took over. Combine that with home delivery - at the deliverers’ convenience.....if they feel like it....
I have used this app for over a year but all of a sudden it won’t accept my login. It says I don’t have an account. Besides that the Commercial Appeal has run off or fired all of the good reporters. If they have a story it shows up two days later. Don’t want to read about a Saturday football game on Monday.
Having big problems logging in seem to be stuck in some kind of loop that won't let me log in on Facebook or with a password
I loved being able to access today’s copy of the paper and pick article to show someone. Now I can only see 5 issues, the most recent a week old. That’s old news. The e option once you have a subscription is no longer any good. I want to see TODAY’s copy of the paper.
I would rather have an option to pay for this stupid app EVEN though I ALREADY pay for a digital subscription because they keep forcing an Amazon gift card quiz on me that I refuse to answer and there is no way to make it go away. If you back up it comes back a minute later. I dread opening the app now and might get rid of my subscription just to stop having to see this obnoxious ad that can’t be closed.
In addition to the login issues mentioned in other reviews, navigation is hindered by the absence of a back button - especially if one clicks on an ad, at which point there is no way out!
Sign in is broken. It was working fine a week ago.
This thing would be awesome if they didn't arbitrarily decide to change password rules, then not allow you to log in. I changed my password and now I'm stuck in a loop where it doesn't do anything. Pretty crappy since I pay money for this online "option". Makes you wonder why papers are losing money with this kind of grasp of modern technology.
After years of working perfectly, the app now hangs on the "sign-on" page. I can successfully enter my email and password, but the digital edition will not load. The problem began on November 1 when the new Gannett app required a password reset.
