Enjoyed my self guided tour!! Loved it!! It would be nice to have one of North Shore
What a tour. We laughed, learned, and ate our way through Oahu. Thanks for the memories. Hope you do some tours for the mainland like the pch drive from la to sf.
We really enjoyed both the Circle Tour and South Island tours. We could have driven the routes ourselves, but the commentary and interesting stops made the trip much much better. We would have missed out on so many hidden gems. Well worth the money! The app worked perfectly with our iPhone iOS. For the developers: a way to integrate music during the periods without commentary or the included music would be great. We love driving to music and the periods of silence seems like a wasted opportunity.
During our recent visit to Oahu, we used the South Shore Tour, Circle Island Tour & the Biki Street Art Tour. The tours are extremely detailed and thoroughly thought out. “Shaka” literally provided turn-by-turn directions & tell you when to switch lanes. Seriously better than other Map apps. Because they come with offline maps, I had my phone on airplane mode the entire time & when in places where there were no services, the tours continued without issues! “Shaka” took us to some amazing beaches and sites that we would never have known about. “Shaka” also provided background stories that allowed us to learn about local history. It also played curated music along the way. Because of where we stayed we didn’t start at the actual starting point but the tours are in a loop in one direction so we were able to join us just fine and still saw everything. We also love the fact that we weren’t constrained to any timelines and we could linger at beaches we loved the most. The South Shore Tour was supposed to be half day but we made it into a whole day’s worth of adventure since we stopped to take pictures and/or lay out and/or picnic on the beaches. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this app & seriously a great value. I’d do this times and times over if you’re renting a car (we rented a Jeep) & will recommend to all our friends when they visit Oahu. If you’re getting a rental, make sure to bring a car adaptor/charger & auxiliary cord just in case. Thank you for the developers and “Shaka” the tour guide who created this app. Seriously a great idea and the app had no bugs & worked perfectly. Customer service was also quick to respond to our questions. We can’t wait to do the other tours when we visit the other islands in Hawaii. All kinds of Mahalo for the Shake Guide team! 🤙🏼
We named the narrator Doug to make it more personal. It was incredible how accurate it was and we were able to go out her own pace while exploring some of the worlds most incredible places!
This was my first time in Hawaii and the app made us look like locals. Food, places, roadside food, drinks, snorkeling, hiking you name it we did it!!! A must app to use when in Hawaii we did both tours North and south shores and will do it again if we could. 🏄🏻♀️
Best tour guide ever! We spent eight hours looking at views.. from a volcano, volcanic crater, and restaurants its the best! We named the tour guide Shaka Dude. He gave us funny facts and cool tips!
There at every turn; interesting and helpful. Worth the price.
This is worse app for tourists. We lost $15.00 and 2 days of 7 day vacation. Ended using iPhone Map with individual attractions directions. Was finished 3 places in day. So far we enjoy with iPhone map. With you app there is no current gps location track. When turning time in your turn we often one way can’t turn on one way. Then we pass that turn no directions to go back to track. We have to find way to get back on line. That happens many time. so we lost lot of time, glad stopped using app and used alternative map. Sure not recommend to anyone. Sorry but my rating is -5. 7 day vacation lost 2 day.
This tour had some beautiful and creative pieces. My 14 y.o. And I did this tour and loved it. The only thing I would suggest is to just walk the tour and ditch the bike. You don’t get to ride much anyways as the art is so close and it’s less than a mile. But it was still enjoyable. The bikes were easy to ride and comfortable if you do decide to take the bike.
