Workouts are great! They get you sweating in a short amount of time, they incorporate different kinds of exercises with yoga and that’s really cool, but the music played during the workouts is not my thing. It’s too pop/up-beat cycling/pilates class type music. Since it’s yoga, I’m used to more zen/chill music in the background. Also, I feel like the explanations from the instructor (tbh I’ve only done vids from 1 instructor, blonde, female) are a little vague at times; I have to go back and look at my phone (kind of difficult at times), which brings me to my 3rd point... it’s all on your phone, which is a pretty small screen. There should be an option to project the video from your smartphone to your smart t.v. (as most people have at least 1 smart t.v. in their homes nowadays, I think). I’ve listened to the focus music and the selection is extremely limited and repetitive. The most important part of this app are the workouts, definitely a hit, spot on, love them, but most other things need a lot of work. I haven’t used the sleep tab or the meditations tab, so I’m not going to review those. Thanks!
At 57years I know my basketball days are behind me. With Asana Rebel, I have found the challenging “practices” I embrace, as well as the fulfillment of good health...body and mind. Bravo Asana Rebel. I look forward to continuing my healthy life with you as I strive to reach my full potential.
I started using these workouts in February this year and within a few weeks, I saw big improvements in my flexibility and strength. I still do the beginner workouts (they are challenging, but not so hard I feel like I can’t do them) and mix it into my weekly exercise regimen (walking, HITT & yoga.) The very best part for me was discovering how much it helped me prepare for my recovery from my hysterectomy. Because my arms were toned and used to supporting my body weight, I could easily lift myself up to move in and out of the bed just hours after my surgery. I also noticed I had great balance, even when I was coming off the sedation. I was never really into yoga before, but these workouts have helped me not only get strong, but just feel better about taking care of myself. I have to take a 6 week break while I heal, but I can’t wait to get back to the workouts!
I just found how to download videos for offline use. Raised my review from one star to four stars.
The first time I paid for a subscription to Asana Rebel it was on accident. I clicked on the yearly rate to check it out and the transaction went right through. Oops! My friends made fun of me for weeks for accidentally spending $60 on an app. But once I started using the app, I didn’t regret it so much anymore! Within just a few weeks, I could already feel my body toning and strengthening. I like that there are different trainers and different music and differently themed workouts, so I’m not doing the same thing every single day. I also like that there are different intensities, so if I do a really difficult workout one day, I can switch to an easier one the next day. Although I got bored quickly with the available workouts, they soon added more videos so I had more to do. I even got my mom into yoga, and she never thought she would be able to do it! She loves the basics of vinyasa series. They are always updating this app and have great customer service! The only thing I don’t appreciate about this app is it’s price. I’m a college student, and I don’t have the money to drop $60 at once. Maybe if they gave me an option to pay $5 a month? I’m not sure that I’m going to pay for another years subscription because I don’t think I can afford it, but I really liked my time here. It will be difficult to replace this.
So I hit one year subscription and I can’t use it because it keeps saying that I need to unlock it and pay, WICH I ALREADY DID!!! So I want you guys to unlock it for me or return me my money, because the ticket already arrived at my email. Hope to get an answer soon, thanks you
I cannot open this app! Very frustrating because I have paid for it! It keeps directing me to pay again! Geez! Have not even been able to start the program and there is already a problem! Cynthia DiMarco
I accidentally subscribed, thought I was hitting the “X” to close out the subscription screen and the next thing I knew it charged me for a year. When I went to get a refund just minutes later, I was denied. $71.42 with taxes just swiped from my bank account without any pop-up asking if I was sure I wanted to subscribe or anything!!! So annoyed. —— The Asana Rebel development team just responded to my review suggesting that I visit their website regarding my refund...which is what I did the first time and it just sends you to Apple iTunes. Lather, Rinse, Repeat, it’s a vicious circle of no help, no customer service PERSON just web-based crap where they apologize, deny your refund and send you to another site. No refund in sight, that is the bottom line. Let’s hope my bank dispute works out and Asana Rebel doesn’t get their money. Oh! And don’t sign your BS apology letter with “Namaste”!! As a yoga teacher and a corporate professional I’m offended!!!
To be honest this app was my first approach - ever - to yoga, and it was the best introduction one could ask for. There used to be a limited number of workouts to get yourself closer to a healthier more flexible body, if nothing too serious, and that was fine for me. I remember this app got more exclusive in time, and suddenly all the free features were gone. I get the policy and all, and there's nothing wrong about that, but I can't enjoy it for fun anymore. It has gotten way too boring and repetitive. There are bunch of 5 minute workouts going on and on again, which after a try or two you can do them on your own. I used to learn and grow with Asana, and just have fun and be patient with the gradual progress I had. It's still a great app, one I unfortunately can't use any longer.
Asana rebel is great but I am not willing to pay so that I can exercise so I try to use that things on the app that are free but there are barely any work outs or other things that are free if there were then I would definitely use the app way More
