If you’re ordering Uber eats and there’s not many drivers, they will continue to tell you that the restraint is preparing your order. Although, it’s simply because there’s no one to pick it up. So you end up get your estimated arrival time pushed further and further but if you cancel, you will be charged the entire order. Uber Eats needs a way to tell you that there are no drivers around so you’re not left waiting 2 hours for food. If you have the option, use door dash instead.
There is no way to contact them when you need to get into your account from another device. They keep wanting to send a verification code to my phone, but that’s why I’m trying to login through my computer because my iPhone 11 Pro was stolen. All I want to do is change my password and I can’t login because the verification code is going to a phone that’s been blacklisted. The customer service can contact me through the email connected to my account. The phone that’s blacklisted is 3609770056.
Too many fees and service charges. Once you add all that it your meal becomes double priced. Doordash doesn’t charge so much that’s why everyone uses doordash and not Uber eats. Small order fee for under $15 and then delivery fees, for fast food restaurants people are not going to pay double for their food.
Don’t use, I ordered food and 3 hours later no food and they said they was still looking for a driver. So I canceled my order and they did not give me my money back nor did I get my food. There is no number to call and no ways to get help. Took 20$ out of my account and have not got it back.
The app said that the order cannot be processed, I tried it again and it said it cannot be processed for the second time. Then I re-did the order and it went through. Only one order showed up but two minutes later a notification says that my order is being prepared, when I open the app I Noticed that it was under past orders not on the other tab. I checked the other tab and my recent order was still waiting to be approved. I right away canceled the first order and it just said that my order was canceled. Turns out that the order that could not be processed went through without sending a notification that it was accepted. Although I canceled it as soon as it reappeared in my phone- the 5 minute grace period had ended. Instead of getting a notification or an email Uber decided its best to not let me know that I would not be getting my money back. I tried to explain this to them through the live chat in the app but they kept sending me the same message that “5 minutes had passed and order was already being made”. One Representative even went as far as to send me an email of another order I’ve made in the past that I canceled and never received my money back(first time I see it) to try to show me that this is the same as before which it was, because that order also said that it cannot be processed but then later it got processed. I know this because the app shows that I made the exact same order minutes after the first one. I’ve been asking them if the reason why they don’t give me the money back is because they paid the restaurant, which in that case is out of their hands, or if they keep the money since the restaurant never gives the food out-but they don’t want to answer instead they sent the same message saying ”this is not the experience he want you to have”
Absolutely terrible customer service. I thought the app was good but I couldn’t reset my password or email or phone number to get in and it was very frustrating. I never forget my password or email so I don’t think that this was all my fault and either way it was extremely hard to fix and I gave up and deleted it never recommend it’s garbage get DoorDash.
Waste over an hour trying to cancel an order that was automatically accepted for a restaurant that was already closed somehow. There used to be a premium support option but no longer. Terrible experience having multiple drivers frustrated by it as well.
They have consistently messed up my orders and have no number to call, In which a human answered. They make you overpay for a lackluster service. They deserve nothing but pity.
I recently made a purchase through Uber Eats which I have done a lot during this quarantine and before. I also made the purchase from Sesame Donuts which I have done multiple times and is always the SAME order. For some reason last night when I made the SAME order as I’ve done multiple times the company decided to tell me because the donuts I ordered were fancy donuts THEY decided to PICK random donuts for me instead of NOT accepting my order and CANCELING my order like a good business would have done. But no, they gave me other donuts(which we threw away because they were not donuts we wanted nor asked for in the app). So what do I do, I reach out to Uber eats telling them what happened and sent pictures and what was their response? This, “ Hi , I completely understand that the order you received from Sesame Donuts (Hillsboro) did not meet your expectations. Let me assist you with this. Though compensations are not yet possible, no worries because I've also made a note with Sesame Donuts (Hillsboro) about this issue
