I seriously cant believe people expect content to be free. That said, i wish it had a tad more diversity. (Just a tad)
I don’t usually write reviews but I had to this time. The art and story is good but only one or two episodes are unlocked and you have to pay to see the other episodes. It would have be fine if it was cheaper but it is entirely to much. Don’t get me wrong the artists and writers very much do so deserve it but it would be nice if some stores had more unlocked episodes to see if you’ll really actually like the story. Or even some free for the younger people who also enjoy reading these and don’t have the money to pay for the outrageous costs. It is really just a disappointment to not be able to see more of the app and stories but unfortunately I can’t and I will be deleting the app as well. I hope the app can change in the future and will think about the younger people, like teenagers, and poorer families. But like most things I probably won’t change and is probably in it for the money. Not the creators or the reader, but for themselves. Also 7 day free trials are basically a scam so they really can’t use that as an excuse.
The service is over priced, and the free trial isn’t free at all. I don’t recommend people getting a subscription, as Stela is going under and can’t afford to continue their comics. Their future doesn’t look good, so invest in this app at your own risk.
Okay there are other apps which you need to pay for. But They keep options for bothh kinda readers who can pay get access before and those who can’t have to wait. In that way lot of readers can read. Not everyone can pay so that’s sad. In this way you can’t get much readers too
This app has good comics in it. It's feature comic seems to be Untold Love: Lumi White. The biggest issue is the site doesn't really have a forum, their social media hasn't been updated since late June and they really don't spotlight their writers and artists by linking their Instagram or Twitter. It makes it difficult to see if there are chances in upload scheduling.
It’s so good, but sadly you have to pay to read most of the stories😔😔
I loved the vertical scrolling of the comics (before Stela came out with illustrated books) and I had to wait a long while before the comic titles were updated with new chapters. I quickly came to have favorites. BUT - so many of them are unfinished. They left me hanging for two years or so. I stopped subscribing then came back every once in a while to see if they have added more chapters. No. I don’t mind a paying subscription IF THEY KEEP ADDING NEW CHAPTERS. Now about the illustrated books - the materials are public domain. I expect to see more illustrations to make it worth my money. This is another area where I am disappointed.
I really enjoyed the content in this app. But one day when I am charged the monthly fee but the content is locked its not worth it. I had access for at least 3 months. I email the customer support team but they were no help. I tried signing up again, but no access to the content. But they are taking my money with no problems.
Heard about this app through an ad while playing another game. Didn’t even have to think about it. Just downloaded it. The art alone would’ve sold me, but that it might have stories for LGBTQ whut??? Yes, please sign me up! Or I would say that if I could afford it hehe.😅 Don’t get me wrong...I think the artists and the development team deserve every penny. I just don’t have any pennies to spare sigh lol. This’ll just be like passing by another of those shiny baubles in a shop window and thinking...oh well someday maybe. Gave 4 stars because I loved what I was able to see of the app and artwork. So. Cool. 👍🏽🤩👍🏽
I was so excited to try this app when I saw the ad for a comic based on The Portrait of Dorian Gray(Grey). The moment I opened the app, thinking it was free like Tapas(you can earn coins to unlock chapters of comics or novels) or Webtoon(everything is free except maybe the most recent chapters that you can pay to see early), I went straight to find that one comic. I thought the hearts on the profile of the comics were for adding to a library, so I “added” a ton before I got to the one I was looking for. All the while I was on there, I was pestered with a pop-up asking me to subscribe or try a seven day free trial. Of course, in both cases you need to put in a credit card. Now, I went to the first chapter of Dorian Gray(Grey). I scrolled down a short distance only to find ANOTHER pop-up. I tested other chapters, of that comic and others, and found that the app was definitely NOT free. I was incredibly disappointed, especially when it said in the app that these comics were exclusive to Sēla. I’m a creator myself, and I understand how hard artists have to work, however this isn’t right. If someone can’t afford to subscribe, then they aren’t allowed to see the beautiful art and stories available there. I’m definitely sticking to Tapas and Webtoon now.
