I can’t figure out how to find and add friends.
Letterboxd HQ I’m begging you to focus less on your little tweets and more on figuring out why my music keeps pausing every time I scroll by an ad in the app.
dear letterboxed- great app! thank u for making this! i have an amazing free idea for u. ur welcome ❤️ please make a filter or list that’s the overlap between two users watchlists? think spotify blend. that way y’all have a pool of films u both want to watch. i would use that.
The gist is it’s a wonderful idea and great when it works but it constantly freezes and lags to the point it’s cumbersome to use it. It’s incredibly frustrating to use.
Absolutely love this app & can be used by film lovers or just anyone who wants to log their watched films as well.
I love this app so much to the point that I actually buy the pro version as I use it so much that being said I have noticed that when I write a review there are occasions where words that I had not typed are inserted into the review. These are only single words that make no sense in contest of the sentence. I thought it was just me being inattentive at first and forgetting to proofread, then I thought it might be autocorrected words not fully registered by the app as being autocorrected. Still haven’t figured out what it is and thought I would write about it as I just wrote a short review for a movie then looked at a friend’s review of said movie in my activity bar and there was again random words I had not typed in just a minute before when I wrote it.
i was reading the reviews for Deadpool 2 when all the sudden a giant gremlin pops up on my screen; i thought this was just another hallucination from my schizophrenia but no- this was too real to just be a hallucination. this app will literally show you goblins and gremlins and probably other bugs and creatures as well as the voices in my head it’s all just a ploy to get you to become MORE and MORE insane. i’m uninstalling this app because the people who make it want to trigger my hallucinations and now i’m seeing the letterboxd gremlins show up in my close
If you love movies you’ll love this app, but I found a lot of things wrong with it, like how it only prioritizes “popular” user reviews or users who pay for the app. For example, when you go to look at the reviews of any movie you’ll have to make an effort to find any regular users who write reviews. Some of the most liked reviews are oftentimes just silly comments & not even a review but just a joke by some popular user & since they have big followings/patron it gets a lot of likes and thats what shows up first when you search up the reviews of the movie. I understand the app has to make money somehow, but it seems like they try to make you pay to make you stand out, which I don’t like.
It’s beyond frustrating as a writer to spend a lengthy amount of time writing something and to go back in and have a message that reads error this review didn’t save and then it’s all the sudden gone. I’ve enjoyed this app for writing movie reviews but the best one I just wrote got Deleted after spending a ton of time writing and editing. I ll remember to save a copy in my notes of my work from now on. And maybe while I was editing I hit the wrong button by accident but I do think before the app just allows all your hard work and editing to be erased it should double check with you and ask” Are you sure you want to delete this?”. I don’t know exactly it happened but as a writing app that can delete all you”re work with the snap of a finger, I’m very disappointed and frustrated.
PLEASE I LOVE THIS APP! I desperately need a section for TV SHOWS too 💞💞💞💞💞
