I don’t want to update to win11 I hope this browser still will work even if I don’t update it!
I have a lot of tabs , and the search active tabs a cool, but it would be cool to have a feature that allows you to move certain tabs closer to the bottom, and kind lock them so they don’t get lost in all the other tabs
Bugs? Brave used to block all that promoted/sponsored posts/disguised ad spam in newsfeeds such as LinkedIn. Now I see endless promoted/sponsored post/disguised ad spam on LinkedIn. Another solution is to add mobile browser extensions like LinkOff. More Requests: I swore the Brave Playlist used to have a shuffle feature. However, there is no shuffle feature for Brave Playlist. Please add shuffling to Brave Playlist. Add the ability to customize Website Redirects such as adding more of them and changing Reddit to Teddit. Update & Feedback Request: mobile YouTube started censoring things (i.e. explicit songs like X by Kendrick Lamar, so don’t @ me). I started using an Invidious instance. However, Brave Playlist does not support Invidious. I am requesting the ability to add Invidious videos to Brave Playlist. I saw a privacy test online that Brave was the only one among competing privacy browsers that blocked a certain category of ads. I conducted my own test of going to a couple websites that have ads disguised as first party content—otherwise known as as sponsored posts. This browser was the only one among all the mobile browsers I tested that blocks sponsored post spam entirely. All the others may have blocked some but not all. The next test I tried was how Brave compared to Musi to listen to music. Brave passed this test too. All the features Musi provides; Brave also provides. The most notable is the ability to play YouTube videos in the background while you switch tabs, apps, and even plays from the Lock Screen. I ended up deleting Musi and use Brave as a replacement.
My 26 year old son turned me onto this browser because I was complaining how when I want to watch videos on YouTube I get slammed with commercials. He said first this is how people make money, and I get it. I like to listen to Pastor Chuck Smith teach the Bible and I go to sleep every night listening to the Word of God. Before he told me about Brave I’d get woken up by loud commercials. Not anymore. During the day my favorite channels I will endure advertisers only to help their channels. But night time is Brave! Thank you for creating this browser!
It’s nice to have Google out of my life. So, Brave is great. It is just kind of awkward and choppy, for lack of a better word. First of alk, the Summarizer Feature is almost always wrong because it takes bits of information from an article or group of articles and strings them together into false information. For example, from article about how the Met Museum removed the Sackler name from its Dandur Wing, while the American Museum of Natural History has decided to retain the Sackler name, Summarizer falsely claims that the “American Museum of Natural History has removed the Sackler name from its Temple of Dandur.” The app should just eliminate the Summarizer function because it is always wrong and contributes to the propagation of misinformation albeit unintentionally.
I have been using Brave as a way to get away from Google's intrusive tracking and selling of my data. I just found out Google is Brave's back door. Getting out of here as soon as possible.
