Pen to paper journaling is something a lot of us just don’t have time or make the time to do anymore. I am one of those people. There are times when I don’t have my journal handy, but my phone is ALWAYS near by and this app delivers. I found it many years ago and it has evolved along with the times and that is something that must happen to stay relevant and keep users happy. If you are looking to keep your memories somewhere whenever the thoughts come to mind, download this app. One of my greatest joys is being able to look back and read my life and progress. Isn’t that what journaling is all about? You won’t be disappointed!!
Is this app daily and I’m always finding new ways to use it and i really enjoy that.
Have had day one for ages, It’s truly the one thing I was looking for when it comes to journaling. I haven’t yet taken time to get anything printed but look forward to doing so. On the most recent updates I am continually having the app freeze and I have to power cycle my phone to get it un frozen. I hope this issue gets repaired soon.
I've used a lot of other journaling programs -- not sure where that data is now, but anyway -- DayOne does everything. And, if I weren't needing to journal from my Mac, it would be subscription-free. They've even answered my support questions, etc. It's my go to at this point. Suggestions: 1. I would prefer the pictures to show as thumbnails instead of giant things while I'm typing my journal entry, as it was a few years back. 2. The text-to-journal feature should consolidate by day. As is it's nearly useless. thanks!
This changed the way I journalled forever.
I’ve been using Day One for a few years now, and I’ve gotta say that it’s most likely the best journaling app that I’ve used in a long time. A LONG time. Started using it back in 2015, and was quick to pounce on their macOS version to have some continuity between devices, and I absolutely adore the experience. Being able to record voice memos as you go through your day is a novel feature, and being able to embed videos and images to help flesh out each entry is seamless and very straightforward. Kudos to the team! Would like to make another request for the Merriweather font on the iOS versions of Day One. It’s a beautiful font on macOS and would be the cherry on top of an already delicious cake.
Is very focused on journaling and it does that job very well. No tool is easier to get you thoughts captured regularly and anywhere. The recording with both the text transcribed with the audio file is excellent. I can’t wait for them to add this functionality to the Apple Watch.
I'm a published writer and one thing I love is journaling. I've used this app for a long time. This year I bought the newer version. Best money spent. I'm looking forward to making my own book as well. A pictorial journey will be fun.
I worked with Journaler even after it went away. I came to Day One reluctantly, but recently found myself signing up to be a premium member. Having access to it from several platforms and through several access points (texts, emails, voice), it feel right for me to incorporate into my life.
Okay this is my second time writing this review because I didn’t copy and paste the first one! I love the journal because writing has become a habit Here are my dislikes Facial recognition does not work you can simply hit cancel and by pass the whole system and still write Secondly, end to end encryption dose not work for multiple journals on the app. I had to journal on the app and only one of them allowed me to have end to end encryption and greyed out the second journal from becoming end to end encryption. We live in a digital age where hacking is a habit and hacker don’t care about permission and a lot of time as writer your emptying personal thoughts and or ideas and it’s not fair for someone to access or use them against you when you are Sorting through your own thoughts or ideas.
