I’ve tried quite a few journaling apps and this one by a long stretch is the best I’ve found yet. So simple, so clean and intuitive. I’ve always enjoyed journaling, it’s one of the best ways I’ve found to pray and meditate. And this app is so perfectly suited to my spiritual practice. Clearly I can see why it’s the editor’s choice!
This is the place to lay all your most inspiring thoughts. -As a journal of your fondest discoveries and lessons. If you keep it brief then it’s easy to scroll through, occasionally, to remind yourself of the things you found along the way that are especially meaningful for you. It’s personal and so simple to use. In using, Day One will become your good reference to help advance your goals and assist your character and spiritual growth. Use it as needed, not just once a day, to record your best and to achieve or become all your fondest aspirations as we all would well intend!
Too early. Only had a week
I thought I was trying a free trial for a period of time. Then without my knowledge it’s charged me $35. I have gone into Apple setting and there is no cancel subscription button so in my mind I’ll be charged forever for an app that is ok but not worth $35. Please cancel my subscription and refund me ASAP. Thank you. Jennifer Hopsicker
I've had this app for a while, but haven't used it consistently. I'm on vacation now and wanted to record our daily activities. I did so & then nothing was saved. I thought it was my phone, I tried again w/a bit more detail. Again I hit "done" and verified the info was saved. I went back into the app later & nothing was there! What an absolute waste of time & effort! I found out the issue was that I hadn't updated the app. Unfortunately there was no error message displayed when I "saved" each entry. I've finally updated the app, but all previous entries are gone. It's a real bummer because I had at least one picture in the journal entries & that's now gone as well.
Well designed. Fast. Shortcuts and command line (!) support on Mac. End to end encryption. Really just a great app. I downloaded it expecting to delete it but I ended up trying premium and it’s great.
I love how One Day saves everything to the cloud and how if I decide to post a picture it refers to the time stamp of the picture, so if I want to write about it later, it still in the right timeline. It has a lot of really great features, although I never had to use them. Great app! I recommend buying the app, if you can!
I honestly, thought I would hate this app. Journaling? Without paper? Idk... but I quickly became addicted. It’s easy to write everyday, add photos and videos of the things that happened, and the templates are great for days when you just don’t know what to say. Also! When done, you can always pay to print the journals! Which I feel is so cool! I love this app. It’s organized, feels secure, and has so many features. I have my diary, my business, and a life journal to keep track of all those pesky bills. It’s like notes times a thousand.
Even when I sign out my journal postings still show up when I open the app. Multiple times I signed out and opened the app and was still signed in. A journal is supposed to be private so I don’t understand why even after signing out my entries show up. I’ve never wasted my time writing a review about an app but this was a goddamn waste of time.
I love Day One. It is intuitive and easy-to-navigate. I hope to use it to become more disciplined in keeping a journal. The synchronization with iCloud is a feature I enjoy: I can add new entries in my MacBook Pro and see them reflected on my iPhone. The automatic tagging feature includes time stamps, location and weather can be too intrusive for some users.
