I really like this app, but some of my photos are disappearing. I’m very sad about this. I’ve been using this app to chronicle my grandson’s day with captions. For the past few weeks when I open the app to take a journal photo the last photo I took disappears. Disappointing to say the least.
Have loved the app for a long time, but something is wrong with the app since the new apple iOS update. Very hard to log in an entry, can’t see what I am typing! Help!!!!
I have used this app since 2011 when I purchased the app for my iPhone and my MacBook and they synced seamlessly. It was one of the best apps I’ve ever used. Until today. I went to make an entry in my journal and found out the developers decided to start charging for the ability to sync the journal entries across devices. They now want me to pay $35 a year for the privilege of syncing my entries. I would have given the app a 10 but now I will no longer use the app. I already paid for it and think I should at least be grandfathered in to the fees. I’m extremely disappointed.
I’ve tried for years to get into the habit of journaling and all formats and configurations have never kept me at it for longer than a few days. Enter DayOne - the most effortless comprehensive journal I’ve ever used. I’ve been at it for nearly two weeks and I’ve journaled or made an entry every day. That’s far exceeding all previous attempts at journaling. One suggestion I’d make for developers to improve experience the much more: include multiple music streaming platforms. I personally use Prime Streaming and wont be changing that any time soon. It would be great if the meta data could collect music being played from more than just the Apple Music app.
Day One is like your own private social media + scrapbook. I use it to post and organize my favorite memories. It’s going to be fun to look back on all I’ve posted one day.
I have been a DayOne user for over 3 years and this app just keeps getting better with time. It has become my visual journal and a key part of my daily routine. The “On This Day” feature is like having a time machine in your pocket, and allows you to see where your thoughts and mindset was in the previous years. Now even better with the video clips! I love this app and rely on it more and more for my go to app to capture my thoughts and record my life.
I find this app simple and effective in writing about your life, days, even situations. I am always positive whenever I write about my expectations of the day and sit down at end of the day to review what I did compare to my plan. In my view this app deserves 5***** for above reasons. Thanks for reading 😆
It would be nice to be able to purchase the app straight out. Monthly subscription fees are a pain in the rear. Let’s see pay a monthly DayOne subscription or...buy food!!?? Nah.
I buy the FULL app when it first came out. NOW I go into the app’s page in the App Store and find all kinds of goofy subscriptions I have to for pay now. Thanks for the Loyalty and tje Support I gave you when you first started out. I realize developers have to eat, but so do I! You get income by producing a quality app, supporting it with quality updates, and getting good reviews - then selling more of the same app. Poor Customer Loyalty.
I love the simple, clean interface of this app. It lets my memories and thoughts shine through.
