Perfect for now

I’m in the healthcare field and have had a very hard time carving out time to try to stay fit. I work long days, and I’m not going to the gym with the ongoing pandemic. This app is perfect for a 20-30 minute workout in my living room, and it can get my heart rate up and heavy breathing without using any equipment. I also really like the video tutorial of how to do each move, it’s much more helpful than the diagrams you usually see in workout plans.

Programming Variety

I’m always getting tired of programming and looking for a new app or program. Fitbod switches it up enough to keep my interest, and most importantly, gives me the option to replace exercises with suggestions from the same muscle group. This is a great app for beginners to advanced fitness enthusiasts!

Excellent workouts but want more diversity in people modeling exercises

Great fitness app

I had this recommended to me by the official podcast, during one their ad reads. And, boy am I glad I listened to them, because this app is pretty dang good. The workouts are easy to understand and the customization is enough to get the most out of it but not so much to make you confused or annoyed. As well, the algorithms they use must be pretty smart, because it gets the recommendations on point. But, there is one problem and that is that some of the settings are kind of hard to find. If, wanted to look for the settings it wouldn’t take you forever, but it would take you longer than it should. Once, you’re there it’s not a problem cause it’s all laid out great but it is a pretty big problem I thought I should mention. Anyway, it’s a great app and I’d recommend it to anyone who wants to get into fitness as a hobby, to lose a few pounds, or even to organize the workout you already do on a regular basis.

Don’t use this in place of an actual trainer

I really needed a little extra to my workouts. Been working out for about a year and a half and my routines were going stale. I downloaded this to get “fresher” routines. In reality I completely ruined a whole week of workouts. This app grossly underestimates/overestimates your weight limits, therefore you either make no progress or look like a dumba** trying to lift something too heavy. My advice, don’t rely on this, make sure you take A LOT of time to check whatever crazy weight level it’s recommending for your height/body weight, and above all, if you know a good trainer, or friend who works out regularly and is in good shape, go to them first. This app is only good to find new workouts for certain muscle groups.

I was never one that wanted to go to the gym. A friend of mine told me about this app and I gave it a try. Exercising in my own home was exactly what I wanted to do. I started using the app before the pandemic. I went from 198lbs to 172lbs within the first two months. I have more energy and in addition started cycling too.
