Save your money, there are alternatives

I’ve paid the subscription for over a year and I cannot believe I have been dealing with the constant desyncing issues between the phone and watch apps. In addition , after a year of activity this app suddenly stopped syncing with Apple health and activity so that was the first deal breaker. I have always been frustrated with the generated workouts. I’m no expert but I selected body building as my goal and yet the generated workouts would come up with crazy super sets. I finally got fed up with a super set of 21 bicep curls and 22 hammer curls. That is crazy no one should be doing 43 reps per set for biceps, you have to use very light dumbbells to even do that many reps. The app also likes to keep increasing body weight reps each time while never increasing the weight for bench press. Again I’m not an expert but I feel like if you want to build strength it is better to do like 8 reps with full plates meanwhile the app wants you to do 15 reps with 25 pound plates every time. These issues would be fine for a free app but this is 10 dollars a month. I have already found other apps that are cheaper and actually sync properly with the Apple Watch and Apple health app so I cannot recommend this app.

Bugs Since 2018

I’ve had this app since 2018 and it still has soooo many bugs. I use it for workouts but have learned to not depend on it all the time. I just wish that the app actually logged my workouts, connected to my watch and the timer actually worked. I just don’t understand how this app crashes and is just a unbelievable headache. I would get a different app but there are no competitors unfortunately. But yeah this app probably adds 10 minutes to my workout because of me logging it on my watch and then I open my phone, and nothing is logged. It’s very very frustrating. I really hope this company gets their things together because it’s honestly a TERRIBLE engineered application.

Great idea but glitchy software.

The app is great for tracking your weights per exercise along with your reps. However, several of the features are hard to use/are glitchy. They are: - the add/minus buttons should be switched to be more Intuitive. I click on the right, I reduce time. I click on the left, I add time. - when you clixk on the mi us time button it will start jumping through your sets without stopping to count down each one. It just starts checking them off. - the search feature could be smarter to find exercises. It is difficult to scroll through all apps. Machine learning could be applied to suggest workouts that could replace those you don’t want to do/cannot do. - the end workout button is too easy to hit. - logging sets should add a set then move to the next without opening up the reps editor. Other than these improvements, the app is a fantastic idea. I love it!

I’ve been using this app for well over a year, and recently it’s been really buggy. It just stops working most times and takes forever to log anything.

Using for about 3 months

I like that the app gives you work outs and works with what equipment you have. I just really dislike the amount of glitching it does when it comes to basically anything that is timed. From the HIIT intervals to the timed stretching portions. It messes up my workout. Glitching also happens when I’ve logged an exercise or set and then it erases it right after. This messes up my after work out report because i have to log it again and it’s like I did it again when I just did the original amount. Fix your bugs guys. Also, could use more variety of exercises. That’s why I bought the membership. I don’t want to look for my work outs 💁🏻‍♀️.

Terrible app performance

My renewal comes due in December and I don’t know how I can renew. The application performance is horrendous and keeps getting worse! I submitted a support ticket a while ago and nothing was done. I was given the impression that it was due to me having done too many workouts. Isn’t that the point of the app? Build custom workouts for me based on previous performance and exercises? As it is the app UI just locks up where input is ignored for tens of seconds! And this isn’t occasionally it’s constantly! Even if it didn’t do that I think the app would just be ok. It favors specific exercises a lot and feels more like it’s just randomizing things rather than targeting muscles with unique exercises or routines. This could be a great app but for me it’s more frustrating than anything.

Love it but...

Would like the app to tell me how many sets to do to establish a new 1 RM record, and also, change from pounds to kilos with one tap on the go, or something like that, my gym has dumbbells both in kg and lb. Also include the sissy squat bench. There’s also a huge thing that bothers me. Once you start a workout there’s no option to cancel it or be done with it without logging it. I’ve clicked by mistake and then a workout is logged. Fix this please. Keep up the good work guys, it’s my second annual subscription and I couldn’t be happier.

Pretty Good

This app is pretty good. Workouts have been getting better the longer I use it, more variety and more challenging as the app learns me. I’d like a more robust equipment library, some equipment I have isn’t listed (slam ball, sandbag, etc) Update- Developers have fixed the bugs and added the options asked for, so THANK YOU! They have done a great job of making the app better and better, I highly recommend this app.
