I’ve used this app while doing workouts at home (body strength/dumbbells) and now within the past week the gym. I love how it’s scheduled, has instructions for each workout, you can replace the workout with another that works the same muscle, and gives you achievements. I also love that it has different focuses based on your goals. The only thing I wish it did, was track rest days. Like physically have an option to add rest. I hate looking at my calendar and seeing blank spots! Other than that this app is perfect. Definitely kicks your butt and keeps things changing so you’re not doing the same workouts over and over.
This is the first app or fitness planner that actually worked for me. It makes it so easy to work out because it is a smart app that learns with your progress! Simply amazing and it keeps getting better with each update! Highly recommend.
It’ll be awesome if you add 3D GIF (360 camera)
Completely improved my workout routine. Love it! Like having a personal trainer in my pocket.
I paid the 60$ per year and totally worth it!!! It’s the best!! If you don’t like something on your routine you can find another exercise to make your gym time easier!!
I’m not a huge workout person but I want to get good strength training, maintain a healthy weight, and exercise regularly. I don’t want to and don’t have time to think about it. Fitbod has been great for me for the past month because I just have to go to the gym, it will handle everything else: what to workout, what not too, calories, recovery time, gym equipment available, etc. This has gotten me to the gym 60% more than when I was trying to log my own or use other apps. I particularly like that there are so many exercises, and that I can quickly swap them out to work the same muscle group if two pieces of equipment aren’t near each other or if I can’t do one of them well at all. The inline gifs and videos are super helpful and quick. I can also adjust the time I want to workout to dial in just how much time I have at the gym. And when it’s all over it syncs to Apple Health and records my calories and workout details. All of this together removes any friction from working out for someone who doesn’t want any part of planning it, but who doesn’t want or can’t afford a trainer. I will say that the experience is best paired with an Apple Watch since it is pretty needy in terms of tapping and confirming exercises.
As far as giving you your own personal fitness program and tracking your workouts this is an amazing app. A favorite feature of min is how it keeps track of what muscle groups are fatigued after a workout. All that being said there are still a few minor things in terms of customization I want to see in the app. This includes but is not limited to, adding cal counts for things like tracking assault bike instead of how many feet you went, an area to type in your 1 rep maxes for Olympic lifts, and just a smoother interface when the app is communicating between the phone app and Apple Watch app.
I had a gym membership but was unsure of what to do once I got there. I’d waste time. I wasn’t getting results. This app changed that. I go to the gym, work out efficiently and then go home. I spend less time at the gym because I no longer wander around wondering what to do or how to use equipment. I’ve had this app for maybe 2 months and lost 4-5% body fat and gained muscle. I love it. It takes all the guess work out. I love that it changes up exercises every time and that it avoids muscle groups you just worked out. I love that I can easily replace an exercise if it suggests something that just isn’t right for me. The only thing I’d add to this app would be some stretches.
Been using for a couple of weeks now and this app is very helpful for tracking all my exercises, whether I’m cycling, running, lifting or doing body weights. The one problem I see is yoga. You can’t simply log “yoga” nor its intensity or time. You have to log each exercise. That doesn’t work for me and is my recommendation to fix for the app developers.
I love Fitbod! It creates challenging but fun workouts based on my abilities and the equipment I have at my disposal.
