I've been on the great courses for years and the content is great but I really can't take this app anymore.
the great courses are truly amazing and highly recommended. but the app store is where we review apps not content: this app is so ridiculously buggy. each update fixes an old bug and brings another one in behind it. you guys need to get with the times. you offer amazing content which is clearly popular. if you don’t put a little effort into your apps, then some other company will eclipse you. we live in a world of smart phones and mobile apps. vhs and even dvds are outdated now. if you fail to deliver your product in the medium of our time, it could be your demise. otherwise your stuff is absolutely amazing
The content of these lectures is great, don’t get me wrong. But the app is missing 2 very basic features that make it annoying in general, and dangerous to use while driving: 1) the forward/back buttons on the Lock Screen skip by an entire lecture, rather than by a few seconds, so you have to unlock your phone and navigate to the app itself to do so 2) iOS doesn’t recognize the audio as Spoken Word, so navigation instructions just speak over the lecture rather than temporarily pausing it. The Podcasts app, Audible, MasterClass, cloudLibrary, etc all have these features. Great Courses really needs to implement them.
What devils made this app it can kill you and it is $150.00 per year
I've tapped "free trial", you immediately greeted me with the paid plan choosing window.
This app has gone down the drain. Can never connect and always issue with downloading. I will not be renewing my subscription in January
I get charged $19.99 every month but I can’t play courses and then the app asks me to join or start a free trial. They are well aware of this glitch and do not fix it. On their “contact us” they put instructions for this well known issue to submit 3 items: a photo from your bank account, a photo of your email receipt confirmation, and a photo of your monthly subscription in your ITunes account. Not worth my time. They need to FIX the app!!!!
I have relied on the Great Courses Plus app to help get me through the pandemic. The app has worked great until the last iOS release on my iPad. Now the ability to send my screen (cast) to my Google Chromecast for display on my TV is no longer functional. When do you plan on fixing it???
Videos are corrupting after I download them
Love the library, I started my trial and couldn’t wait to watch my first video. The problem is that the app crashes constantly. It also doesn’t recognize that I’ve stared a trial. This whole app has so much potential but until it works in the slightest way, it is a waste of your time.
