I wish they would stop sending me promotions on premiums service especially since I already have it. Had some text and voicemail issues that appeared to resolve a few months back. All in all it serves its purpose well.
I’ve been using this for my business for 2 years now. It’s been reliable for us, and the automated text message responses are awesome, as we try to drive our customer support to email and text primarily. The only downside is the lack of a routing system and multiple phone numbers for like sales or tech support . Ideally we’d be able to have 2 numbers within sideline and have a routing system like “press 1 for tech support” .... etc Anyways other than. That the app has been reliable and constantly improving with new features. Thanks!
No notifications, multiple dropped calls, already have reached out to customer service and while they were nice and tried, couldn’t fix the problem.
I used this service when it was free & was very happy. I recently signed up & paid for the $9.95 mo & was charged twice within 4 hours. Not sure how this is supposed to work, but $9.95 is bad enough,,, more than that I want to CANCEL!!!!!!
After a year and a half of use; spam callers have started calls me
This app was entirely unusable for me. Iplum sells your phone number and it never ever stops ringing. Nonstop spam calls all day every day. Shameful for a paid service. I want my money back
Where I am located, is not the best for cellular service. And the the VOIP is not allowed in teams situation, so if this is not resolved soon, I’m going to have to start looking for alternatives, even though everything else works great. I do get a few one call rings and nothing, which I attribute to the cell service, or non VOIP.
This is the WORST app for a business line you can get, the app will have times that it won’t load, or it just freezes on you when you’re trying to scroll through texts or send a text. The website has so many issues that sometimes it won’t even let you log on. This is a terrible platform if you plan to use it for a business, not worth the headache, just pay an extra $10 a month to your phone carrier and get a second phone because this is garbage until they fix it *** it’s not just me experiencing these issues, ALL of my 50+ colleagues do as well Edit: I love how the developers only response was that it doesn’t work on an iPad - I don’t use an iPad nor did I ever mention one - all of these problems are on iPhone or their website
I have had this app a few years now and I paid $69 a year which is called the legacy plan. Whatever you do, do NOT click on the update to pro version for free notification. They are tricking customers to update for free till December 31, 2020 so you get rid of your legacy plan and have to continue paying $99 a year. It is 100% false advertisement, the ad also says you will not be charged until December 31, 2020 they charged me $99 immediately. Do not allow this company to bait and switch you, sideline is a very dishonest business. I will be creating a new business number with someone else.
I took the time today to go through and read dozens and dozens of recent reviews and I can say I’m very glad I don’t have all the issues others seem to be having or I would have canceled the subscription! As a matter of fact my experience was pretty great from when I first ported my number over. The first six months to a year we’re good but then I started having issues such as customers being routed to my personal voicemail which never happened before and now I am forced to use Call Announcement and press “1” every time I get a call and sometimes it doesn’t connect right away or I have to keep pressing “1” and saying “hello? hello?” which is not very professional. Currently my issue is suddenly the ringtone is set through the Sideline iPhone contact entries labeled “Incoming/Outgoing Sideline Call”. Before you could set the ringtone by simply choosing one directly from the menu within the Sideline settings. This is a change for the worse unfortunately because lately Sideline has been creating multiple contact entries for Sideline incoming and outgoing, all with different numbers when there is only supposed to be one each. Every time a new entry is created it defaults to my native iPhone ringtone so I don’t know it’s a customer calling. I even deleted a lot of them manually and they came back. Customer service is working on this so if they can resolve it and it stays fixed I will be happy. For these issues I had to deduct one star. Overall however customer service has been prompt and the phone clarity has been clear and the text messaging has been reliable and I haven’t experienced some of the nightmare issues others describe. If it ever gets that bad I will not use a side phone number app because I’ve read all the reviews for many of them and they all seem to have glitches worse than I am experiencing. I will just have to pay extra money and get a second SIM card installed in my iPhone which luckily I have that capability starting with iPhone X, although it does cost more and I don’t think call waiting works when you are on a call from one number and the other SIM number calls you; it goes straight to voicemail I believe. But you are always guaranteed the same quality and reliability you have with your native phone number when you have two numbers with two SIMs installed. Crossing my fingers it doesn’t come to that but from what I’ve read Sideline still seems to be the most affordable and reliable app.
