If you make a pop up that forces the user to provide feedback when they're just trying to check their camera then you're going to get some. The app was going to get 5 stars but that one thing is so infuriating that it negates the rest of the app. Next time I'm just going to delete the app and not use yi cameras anymore. My Wyze app doesn't do the same thing and frankly they're a better value.
I can’t watch half the videos because I always get a “Fail to load” pop up or “No SD card found”. Camera will stop linking with app randomly, or they’ll freeze. Videos always lag and jump around, it’s never a consistent feed.
The app works well on Android. It even worked well for iPhone 6 & 7 until yesterday (05/22/2019). Tried everything. There seems to be a bug in the iOS YI Home app. Won’t audible alert or display a banner for a motion event for iOS.
I like the camera. But I am not getting the push alerts anymore. I have 3 cameras. I have tried deleting and installing again. It still does not work. Can anyone help?
I’ve had two 1080 P home cameras for just over a year. During that period there were multiple times when Yi’s server issues rendered the cameras useless. I’ve gone days without being able to use them at times. What’s the point of a security camera that only works sometimes? Also as of 3 days ago, this no longer works with 5 GHz. Customer support told me the only fix is to call my internet company and have them reduce my 5 GHz to 2.4. I decided to just put the cameras where they belong...in the trash.
These YI cams are awesome and simple to setup.
I LOVE this camera. We’ve had ours for a long time. But You really need to allow the camera to connect to5G. We’ve had this camera for a long time and just recently had to restart it and now it won’t even work because it won’t allow us to connect to 5g. This is a major issue.
This app used to work great but stopped recording in February 2019 and has never Recorded since. Barely got a refund. Save yourself the trouble.
Great camera for a great price But my only complaint is you have no control of the volume. When you listen in it’s outrageously loud and will feedback from the other side of the house from the sound recycling through.
