Most of the time I enjoy the game. But I am so tired of not having enough diamonds just to get even the most basic items. I refuse to pay to play! And the scoring system is not fair either. The more you spend the higher the score. It has taken all the fun out of the game.
I feel like I’m purchasing actual furniture, plants, and artwork, by the prices I have to pay or them.
I’ve played this game now for several years. It’s truly enjoyable if you like decorating rooms. I really got into this game and it became quite EXPENSIVE if you want to stay competitive and play every day. My biggest complaint has always been about voting on each others finished rooms. It makes no sense. Lately my designs have either scored very high or very low. The voting is not based on how well you’ve designed a room which it should be. I don’t even like voting anymore bc I’m not sure why we vote if it’s not to vote for the best room. Home Decor has had a few surveys for players to take to help improve the game. I know other players have complained about the voting. And a year later….nothing has changed except it’s gotten worse. I don’t play this game near as much anymore and I’m not spending another dime. You get so little back form the game compared to all the effort and money you may put into this game. I’ve found another design game that in my opinion is much more catered to the player. Seems like so many games are all about the money. What a surprise. Bottom line…Fun but not the best.
Firstly I must say that players who use repetitive wall art will never receive my vote. What home in the real world has two identical paintings hung side by side? This shows a lack of design knowledge and talent. I also will not vote for rooms not following the set design criteria. It seems that horrible designs or empty rooms that don't have rugs, wall art, floor or table decor score higher than extremely well designed rooms that do. I do understand that some players just can't afford to pay to play, but I will still only vote for rooms that follow the set criteria. It's as if jealousy or maturity level plays a huge role in the unfair scoring, which has been an ongoing issue and one I've seen for several years now. The 5 star designs now are the ones in which players purchase the current featured decor bundles with cash or must purchase large amounts of diamonds to buy the best items, in order to get 5 stars. You only receive 500 diamonds a day and all decor pieces, most rugs and the most beautiful furniture pieces cost between at least 1000-10,000+ diamonds and cannot be purchased with play cash that you accumulate daily. It's just unfair. You can't compete with players at levels so much higher than you, with better decor, and that obviously spend an absurd amount of money here. I feel badly as this game can become an actual addiction. It's come to the point where I've lost all interest and create only 1-2 rooms a week now, if that, because I refuse to pay to play. The unfair scoring, again, is also to blame here. I must add that the dump truck feature that only lets you elevate your design level ever so slowly is ridiculous. We should receive a dollar for dollar or diamond for diamond credit instead, for getting rid of old unused inventory and not for just 1 share, but for the remaining shares. If you have 5 couches that you want to get rid of, you only receive credit for one piece, instead of all five. There are other games that are free and I'm sadly giving up on this once great game...
I have played this game for years and really enjoy it. This last 6 months or more it has been slow or it stops completely. It tells me it can’t connect or has lost the server. It is really annoying. I am about to delete this game. Sad because I really like it. Not worth the aggravation.
I like to look at a challenge, get my bearings from the exterior and then look at the room. Often the windows, if there even are any in the room, are not the style of window as shown in the exterior shot- I’ve found it slightly annoying, but not a real dealbreaker. Recently we were shown a daily challenge in St Louis. It was a very nice 2 story set on a beautiful property with trees and a park like garden. Imagine my surprise to get to the interior living room and find myself on, judging by the sight line out of the window, at least the 20th floor of a high rise in mid city. A mistake like that makes me more certain than ever that whoever is putting this game together has no experience or even college credits in interior design. This app could actually teach amateur home decorators principles and elements of design, but the developers never considered that as a possibility. That would make this game a lot more worthwhile, but you can’t teach it if you don’t have a clue about the industry. The rooms have also become singularly ugly, with the worst color cues possible. The newest annoyance is with the earning of diamonds. You agree to watch an ad and you get 15 diamonds for that. Now, however, they are stacking 2 ads together, forcing us to view double the amount of ads for the same measly 15 diamonds. I used to play every day. Now I come in daily to get my 500 diamond reward, watch the ads for another 300, and log out unless I see a room that I like. More often than not, I log out without playing, but if I ever DO play again, I’ll have plenty of cash and diamonds to spend.
I enjoy the game however it is difficult to earn diamonds even with watching videos and doing time wasting surveys. You would think with inflation you would award players with 1000k daily diamonds and 1000k if you receive a 5 star rating and not expect people to buy the majority of diamonds.
I really love this game💶😘
I really like this game but one can only do a few designs because everything costs too much. Table decor should have items that can be purchased for money instead of diamonds. I have a hard time getting enough diamonds to purchase a rug. It is too expensive to continually buy diamonds. All the items are priced too high. It would also be nice if we can choose items based on money vs diamonds so we don’t have to search through an entire category of items to see what we can buy. Why not up the daily reward of diamonds to 2000. 500 is nothing.
I enjoy the design challenges and home choices. I have been playing for almost a year and the program is changing to be buggy and more forcing to make in game purchases than previously. As others have noted, scoring is adjusting lower - maybe so you don’t receive as much in award and are forced into in game purchase. Multiple times have designed a challenge and do not receive $ and/or diamond afterwards. Help simply replies, you did receive. Its not worth my time or effort to argue over a game; however, it has left a bad impression.
