Positives-I have been playing this game for a few years and still enjoying playing it. It’s best played when you have a little time. Not sure I’m any better at designing after all these years. Negatives-I find it doesn’t often load properly. I get frequent get a message that’s says “ Not connected to the internet “ when I am and every other game works perfectly. I fine the rooms set to a certain location to be the most difficult. For example, a home in Santa Fe New Mexico. Where by law, new homes must be built in Southwest style. The game doesn’t offer southwest style. I can only imagine that other locations home added to this game face the same challenge. So I find it to be lacking authenticity. It requires purchases almost every time I play. So it can be pricey and discouraging to play frequently. It also makes you seek approval from others. Which is discouraging. Wish- I wish they could find or allow us to find something positive about each room we judge to encourage the new designers.
I LOVE THIS GAME and if you really LOVE it then you will invest it’s worth it . I love the improvements as well
I like this game however, you have to keep buying items you already purchased doesn’t make sense to keep buying over and over again. And, the design challenge doesn’t include all the furnishings you actually have you have. Keep running low on money you have to purchase all the time almost every challenge requires purchase you should be able to use your inventory.
I have both the Android and the Apple version of this game. On the Android version, TapJoy allows users to earn more diamonds by downloading apps and completing certain tasks on them (among other things). On the Apple version of the game, users aren’t given an option to earn diamonds this way so we’re forced to either wait until we accrue enough diamonds or spend money on them. This is stupid if you ask me and takes some of the fun out of it because diamonds are very hard to come by! 500 free per day?! Get real. What’s with the difference?
As others have said, initially I loved this app. Of corse, it’s designed to make money and once it hooks you, it can be addictive. At first I didn’t mind spending $5.99 here and there. But as you progress, the challenges get more demanding and you need more items. Then, you only have use of items for a limited number of times. Some you can repurchase, others you can’t. In the end it’s more stressful than enjoyable so I no longer use it.
When I used up all my coins by accident there was no way to get more there for I couldn’t play. There was no way of submitting the room without buying the required items.
As someone who has downloaded and tried every interior decorations game in the App Store, I can say this is my favorite. It allows you to design the most freely and move around the furniture which is something most other games like this don’t offer. It’s easy to get coins and cash so that you can keep playing, without ads or any mini games required to being able to complete designs. Love this game. My only suggestion would be to allow players to have their own “dream house” to design, where we can customize rooms to our own liking (ie. change the walls, floors, and furniture colors) and have our dream house available to view on our profile. I think this would add a really creative element to the app for players to keep improving their houses by unlocking new furniture, etc.
I was thoroughly entertained with this game for a couple months. Until one day, I logged in and there was a live event “celebrating the legacy of the Canadian residential school system”. Now that is a direct quote. I have screenshots. In 2021, Canada’s residential school system was exposed and thousands of children’s bodies were dug up from underneath these schools. This was widely known in North America, it went viral, it was on the news. People were showing support to the indigenous communities. This was only a small chapter in my people’s pain and oppression. The game developers created and publicly posted an event highlighting Native American cultural genocide. When I reached out to the support team and was met with, “I’ll pass this along”. How many years will my people’s pain be subjected for your entertainment?
This is fun but I don’t understand the rules. And do I have to spend real money to buy special collections or items?
